I want to keep the Ifrit Egis so I would rather they add a Summon 4 and it be LEVIATHAN.
Diabolos isn't necessarily a being of Aether, King Mog was likely never encountered by the spirit in the Summoner stone, meaning it can't teach this summon to you, and Leviathan is pretty much guaranteed to be Summon IV.
But I digress... this is obviously a joke thread.
I just hope when we get new Egis we get new pet spells as well
I prefer this:

Egi glamour
I'd prefer things like Siren, Diabolos, King Moggle Mog, etc become thematic spells. Like Siren Song, Nightmare, and whatever the hell the Mog does :P
The only primal mentioned, at all, in this thread is Leviathan. So yeah, it's going to be Leviathan.
None of the above. I vote:

They might add new summon spells (IV+), but what role would they fill? There's already a lot of overlap between Ifrit & Garuda.
I believe the next 2 primals we're supposed to fight are Shiva & Ramuh. The cheap and easy way out for them might be to just replace Ifrit, Garuda & Titan with Shiva, Ramuh & Leviathan in the same way that the current egi's replaced Carbuncle.
Gipsy Danger!
Doomtrain.
I don't get this line of reasoning, Carbuncle doesn't have an element traditionally. Carbuncle in ffxiv has the exact same set abilities as the summon counterparts just weaker. That is likely the reason why the elements overlap as you say, incidentally since they have the exact same abilities their roles overlap which is why Titan and Garuda supersede Carbuncle.
Anyway it's been confirmed that summon 4 and 5 are leviathan and Ramuh, surprising no-one. I hope Levi is a buffer pet and Ramuh a debuffer, only time will tell.
You do realise that is what I just said, right? Your first post said something about their elements overlapping which I doubt has anything to do with why they get superseded. Also Ifirt and garuda are two different types of attacker pets, caster/attack, that could (if ifirt was designed well) fulfill two different roles. We'll see what happens when the pets get rebalanced soon, I'm hoping to use ifirt and titan more.
