How to use Fat Chocobo mount

I have the collectors edition, but i can't find my fat chocobo mount, i went to the delivery moogle and got it from there, but i can't find it in my mounts list, how can i find it ?

You'll have the whistle in your inventory, use that and then it'll show on your mount list.

Keep in mind, you won't be able to use any mounts until you're lvl20 and do the quest for your chosen GC ^^

I'm already level 20 so that's ok, and thanks for the help :)

A further point to this topic, i've used the whistle and it's showing up in my mounts list, but when i press on it it says, "unauthorised to summon mount", its the same with my coeurl as well

Have you done the aforementioned quest to get a chocobo license from you grand company? You need to do so first to summon any mount.

Ahh that will be why, where would i find such a quest ?

It will be the quest after you kill the first Primal. It is a main story quest so you can't miss it. Once you kill the Primal you will be asked to join one of the Grand Comapnies. Once you join there will be a quest to get your company Chocobo, it takes 2000 Grand Company seals to purchase the riding license from the quartermaster.

Once you have the license and turn it in to the stable master for whichever city you joined you will get your chocobo and then can ride any mount you have.

No, it's not a main story quest. You have to reach a certain point in the main story before it's available, but the "My Little Chocobo" quest itself is a sidequest. (I'm guessing this is because it requires accumulating 2,000 Grand Company seals, which takes a while at that level, and they didn't want to halt the story there for that long.)

The main story will have you join one of the three Grand Companies, Twin Adder, Maelstrom, or the Immortal Flames. Once you've done so, then you can take the "My Little Chocobo" quest available at the GC headquarters. Completing that will give you a chocobo and unlock the ability to summon mounts.

Yeah, I meant the joining of the Grand Company is the main story. Once you join there is quest right there next to you for the chocobo.

Slight digression- I know you can join the three Grand Companies after Lv.20, but can you join the Garlean Empire?

That currently is not an option. It MAY be in future content (which I doubt to be honest given how they're made to be the bad guys for almost the entire main story quest and lore) but no, it's not available.

I thought maybe it tied into PVP stuff or something. Want me some Magitek gear!

At least you can get the Magitek mount for completing the main scenario. :)

I just recently heard about that and can't wait to get there!

Apologies if it's been answered I'm lvl 22 lancer and the The Order of the Twin Adders says "...I haven't completed enough of the story to join". So, how do I join, because, I have no class missions nor side quest?

The only thing I can think of...I haven't picked job and haven't completed the 16 leves? Other than that lancer guild says comeback at lvl25 and I still have my hunting log lvl 3 to complete. Thank you

You do have more main quests to do. Check where your last one ended. Also, try talking to the Npc in the very back of the archer's guild, one main quest starts in the room he leads you to, and can be easy to miss.

It's dependent on the main story quests (the ones with the ring of fire around the quest icons), not the class quests. Have you completed the first three dungeons, joined the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, and defeated Ifrit yet? If not, you'll need to find where you left off in that chain and pick up from there.
