just go back to doing coils Spearya! but yea, im on second book too, and was surprised. hoping that the myth cost drops, at least a little.
Dude. I don't even have my relic weapon yet. You'll be fine.
Hoping 2.25 doesn't have another zodiac quest. It's too soon. Very few people have their animus. By adding an extension so soon, they're just gonna make people feel way behind.
I don't expect them to add any upgrades to Animus til 2.4, so you'll have plenty of time. I'm expecting just another floor of CT, more beastkin quests, and more Hildibrand. And hopefully Gilgamesh HM.
I got my Animus a week ago so I am ready for it.
Ah, dang it, I'm only halfway done with my book aquisition.
Depending on the kind of easing of Atma/Animus we see in 2.25 I might have really wasted my time. Maybe they'll just add "Brayflox Farm" to the Duty Finder?
As long as they drop they costs of the books and increase the drop rates of the atmas I'm all for the patch coming soon. Though I'm kinda worried they'll patch Brayflox. 50 myths in under 10 mins is just too good.
they have already said that they plan to add to the zodiac in 2.25 & 2.3+ when they announced the questline
Really o-o
Didn't think we'd get something that big =D Kinda miss the weekly ritual of aiming for that one CT equip. For some reason, being able to loot infinite gear in CT makes it dull for me atm. None of that rng love/hate game.
Maybe but im kinda glad to have done something so disgustingly hard, in an easy but torturing way.
Seriously guys, Just continue doing your relic stuff and stop worrying about when this comes out, obviously Yoshi-P didnt expect everyone to have this completed, only people who has spent insane amounts of time farming myth and doing there books even have them complete, this is just to have it ready to go so people can get to it when they finish the animus, also, some people aren't even grinding it until they see that the weapon is even worth the time investment. This coming out in 2.25 imo is perfect timing and doesn't even effect you if you are still behind on the atma and books.
We need take account a number of things that were planned for 2.2 hadn't take place there, then it was collected a number of things to address asap, see Cascadier redeem, or stats on some items, not to mention some glitches on Coil 2.
Most likely this the reason to 2.25 soon.
Sorry how is end of april early? It will be 2.25 not 2.5.
End of April implies you've had 6 weeks to get your animus. People have had their animus for over 2 weeks now I believe.
So from my point of view it isn't that it's early but pretty darn late and I didn't even rush the content.
...or maybe they will make Bray partial runs for myth only less efficient by putting some of the myth with the final boss, thus slowing down the book grind even more. You never know. People in another post are actually requesting this, thinking it will stop DF Abuse.
Everyone doesn't have all the time in the world to play, and some of us want to experience all the content before SE starts nerfing everything like they did with the other stuff (Echo buff for instance) (Wouldn't surprise me if they already nerfed new coil and we now get a 100% echo buff by starting a hm primal, also the hm primal will get -100% stats.)
I did calculate it differently and it's given me a 2 weeks advantage I ended up neglecting. That is my fault for forgetting about it.
Regardless many have done a lot within this time frame you are considering to be "early" and many didn't even rushing to get there.
I didn't rush my Animus I simply had it as my primary focus on it and I already got it many sooner than I did. You still have a week and if not more before 2.25 is out.
So please explain how you feel rushed.
You mean how Extreme Primals and 1st coil of bahamut were nerfed through a buff called "Echo" and yet they aren't any where near being 100% farmable on duty finder? That same buff that can be clicked off? I honestly don't see the picture you're trying to make.
My point is, when I got to 50 I had so much to do so I waited to do my relic quest a few weeks, then they nerfed the HM primals before I even got to do them without the echo. Yeah I can remove the echo but then I will be the only one.
I don't want to rush through old content to do the new ones. The old content is still new to me, that's why I don't get it why SE are carrying all the new players to the newest content as soon as they hit 50.
They shouldn't be farmable unless you have a good group, they should be really challenging as it's the hardest parts of the game. If you aren't good enough then you need to learn to be better instead of getting carried by SE. For the record I don't think I'm good enough to try out the Extremes yet, but when I do it I want to do it like everyone else who did it pre-nerf.
And yeah it's not gonna be easy making a group in party finder "First timers Titan Extreme, remove echo buff"
I only just now got my Atma Weapon. Admittedly I wasn't farming 24/7, because I'm actually sane. I did, however, spend about 2-4 hours every day farming for Atma, with actual time spent on each one varying between about 10 minutes (Atma of the Twins, only one I ever got that dang fast) and a whopping 21 hours (for Atma of the Bull. On a completely unrelated topic, I now hate Eastern Thanalan). Am I unhappy that so soon after I got it the 'cap' for how much you can upgrade it is getting raised? Not at all.
Honestly, Yoshi-P did say during either the Live Letter or perhaps just one of the regular Letters from the Producer that he didn't expect many people to have a (for the time) fully upgraded Animus weapon by the time he released the remaining Animus books. As such, this all seems perfectly reasonable to me. I mean, when you think about it, people were complaining about how easy to get the Relic Weapon was (ignoring the fact that probably most of them bought a Titan win or were in a BG tier Free Company), the Devs were listening, and so now the next ranks of the Relic weapon are significantly more difficult to achieve.
I honestly kind of hope this trend continues; The Relic Weapons are supposed to be iconic weapons, rooted deeply in the lore of each job that wields them. The Veil of Wiyu, the personal weapon of one of the most famous Allaghan Summoners to walk Hydaelyn; The Sphairai, weapons invented by one of the greatest Monks known; The Stardust Rod, the personal creation of the most powerful Black Mage in the annals of history. If you think about it, such weapons shouldn't be something that any old adventurer can be seen running around with. The very fact that you possess such a weapon should've been a major accomplishment. And now, with how difficult it is to get an Animus Weapon, it's really starting to feel like that's the case once more.
Anyway, so yeah, those are my thoughts on this matter. Funny how I seem to have a tendency to get rant-y when it's late at night...
3 months between main patches -> 2 sub patches (2.x5, 2.x6) between main patches -> ~ 1 month after main patch for the first sub patch
It is already confirmed since the last live letter (or an interview) that more quest parts for the new relicts are coming with 2.25.
All what you wrote here is coming with 2.3 (except Gilgamesh)
What's funny is that you believe those numbers mean anything. If they want to put out more after that they can do : 2.26, 2.27, 2.28, 2.29, 2.291, 2.292, 2.293, etc etc. They have an infinite amount of numbers to choose from.
But essentially the only thing 2.25 tells us is that this is the only major patch they likely PLAN to do before 2.3
