Mounts and more mounts..

More and more mounts are becoming available through promotions and hard challenges...

I only use them to run from fate to fate though..

Where do you guys use them for?
To show off or actually use them to travel? -Open world *cough*-

I used the mount roulette almost religiously now. I like all of my mounts!

And I actually use mine to travel. I don't do as much teleporting as other folks might. Part of the reason for this is that I'm simply a cheapskate, but also because if you teleport everywhere you miss out on the world! I actually like running from A to B.

I use it to travel. Whitebrim, Saint's, u'ghamoro mines, and Sapsa aren't reachable through aetheryte.

strangely i almost only use my legacy chocobo... and use my GC chocobo when i level it.

Main chocobo when doing fates as he also heals me, but otherwise it was my Unicorn.
However now that i have the fat chocobo the Unicorn has a long break, lol

I use mine to test delays.

Fat chocobo for the music, mostly. I do love the classic chocobo music as well, so I switch it up sometimes.

I pretty much ride my Legacy chocobo exclusively, although sometimes I switch to my magitek armour instead (and now also occasionally Fat Chocobo, but only to hear the awesome remix of the FFIV Fat Chocobo theme music when riding him ;)). My other mounts I only have for collecting purposes, although I'm still kicking myself I never bothered grabbing the 1.0 gobbue mount when it was available (sure there's the Laurel gobbue, but it's not the same) - I just hated gobbues in FFXI and couldn't stand the thought of riding one as a mount. Now though.... :p

the extreme mounts drop rate is what , 0.000001%? :(

I agree, it is a lot more fun to travel with mount than teleport. You go across the map and suddenly see a nice group of people in a fate, or at the opposite players in trouble because they are not enough to do the fate. you just stop and give a hand and have fun with other players.

Just got my golden magitek mount yesterday. All I'm gonna use now, looks awesome!

I'm a cheapass and I go from Outer Lanocea to Lower Lanoscea by mount to fish after finishing my kobold dailies :P
Even though our FC has discounted teleports I don't mind running through the open world seeing what other people are up to!

I mostly use mounts for traveling nearby areas otherwise I am quite the teleport hog lol. But I do try to travel on mount if my destination is nearby lol

I use my GC chocobo for my disciples of the land/hand, My white unicorn just for my healer classes/jobs, My drake for the tank classes/jobs, My coeurl for my bard/dragoon/monk jobs and lastly the Ahriman for just my summoner/black mage.

Mounts are like cars or motorcycles. It is great fun when you can get a group all to ride together and cruise.

What is needed is more customization options for the mounts. It would be nice to be able to get them with colors and stripes etc.

I use whatever depending on my mood, but I usually am with my chocobo only because of the update allowing me to mount it while using it in battle.

Still rollin with my original mount with the top GC set. Still the best looking for me.
