Fan Fest '14 (more info request)

I know it's still a ways off, but can we get some more info on the dates for the Fan Fest tour in October? I'm sure it's no secret that a lot of people will need to request time off work and need to give sufficient time for it.

Maybe on the next live letter? Pretty please? :o ♥

In an interview with XIV Nation they mentioned they are working on putting together an announcement for Fan Fest this fall.

Fan fest?

People are nice at community events. No screen to hide behind in a convention center.

Probably in CA because that's where SE's US offices are, and that is where all the other fanfests were.

I've been really excited about fanfest since it was announced and can't wait. Really hope we can get some info soon. Times running out for me to schedule days at work =/

I've also been anticipating Fan Fest info since before they even mentioned one in the works. From the recent Gamebreaker TV Community Team podcast, it seems like there should be something announced before much longer. Gotta get those tickets ASAP! I went to two XI Fan Fests but the third sold out before I even knew what was what, so hopefully there's enough to go around for the XIV event.

Yeah, from the small amount of info that we have it will be a 3 city Fan Fest tour (Japan, Europe, NA) in October of this year. Hopefully it won't be too late into the fall that they give info >< When I still lived in CA my husband and I went to one of the XI ones ('07) and it was a lot of fun meeting other players. Some people had nice cosplay, and there were a lot of live community events to get people to mingle, a developer panel, fan art contest, and a demo for new content in the upcoming expansion (ToAU iirc) -even an in game item for atendees ;)-. We're hoping to organize a FC meet up this time around, and if we have enough of a notice on dates to plan and save more people will be able to go :) Really looking forward to it, will be super fun :D
