Apparently, it went through. The website cant handle the stress I guess.
My account says PS4 after logging out during a third attempt.
it's ready as the access to FFXIV on ps4 is ready, but can't log in till my upgrade is done, but can't get pass the last step cos too many people on...
Probably a mass of people swarming to the upgrade... everyone stop & I'll test for you. ;o
seems to be working now, received an error message but account is now showing linked to ps4...fingers crossed!

That is what mine says despite the error.
I've got the error as well when trying to upgrade, I checked right after it still showed as PS3. After a few minutes I refreshed and it had changed to PS4 and under Account Services there was a button at the bottom to display the code for PSN, another minute later I received mail with the same info.
So if you get an error just give it a few minutes, it's taking a while to process but it's working.
After that you get to download 12GB for the client! @_@
I had that error but as soon as I reloaded again, at the bottom of the screen it confirmed it was complete.
Launch day is launch day. Think ill fall over and die from not surprised.

Anyone else having an issue with their PSN code "already been used"? I'm playing now because I kept the beta client, but I would prefer to have the rights to the game on my account incase I have to change systems or restore the one I have.
My account reports both PC and PS4 versions are tied to my account now, however they gave me a product code for the game to redeem on SEN's side. I tried to redeem it through the browser as I can't get to my PS4 at the moment, and wanted to ensure it'd be ready for when I'd get home. Unfortunately the code seems to have been used already. Anyone else see this problem?

I got through, and it shows my account has PS4, but when I go into the PS4 store, or the store online and enter my product code they gave me on the mog station it works, but when I click continue, it says its already been used...
Luckily I already had the PS4 version downloaded from beta phase 2, and am now updating the client, so I guess they will let me on without entering that product code?
Edit: They let me online fine, but I guess an admin or someone needs to be notified that our product code they gave us on the mog station is stating it's already been used.
SE's support page has this little line of information:
Perhaps it's intentional that our codes are marked as used already if we were part of open beta?Quote:

Might want to compare the code you got for the beta with the one you get now, it's probably the same and you already used it yourself (didn't play beta myself so I can't confirm). As far as I'm aware PSN can't tell the difference between betas and actual release, and when you got the code during beta you already added the full game to your PSN account, so there's no need for SE to issue new codes.
Didn't get a code to register for Open Beta 2. It was quite simply "Download client". In the case of me, I was stuck in that April 1st to April 3rd issue, which meant I had to "repurchase" the proper Open Beta 2 entitlements as well. I saw no SEN registration code at any point during Open Beta 2.
I have the same issue with "Code bing already used" message but I belive it's more down to fact that when you try to redeem it via web it shows the icon of the game with the red shopping basket overlay which means that you've already "purchased" (downloaded for free) this particular item hence it will not let you to "purchase" it again and might be simply giving confusing message about code being used, so in theory if you'd use it on account that have not downloaded the beta stage 2 client it would work. This is caused by the fact that stage 2 beta client is the same product (at the moment) as the "full" game OR Sony did screw up and gave SE codes for free (beta clients) instead of the "full" paid versions.
Either way - my Service account now shows PS4 + PC versions insted of the original PS3 + PC (can't actually try it on PS4 untill I'll get back home) so it seems to be fine, what concerns me more though is that right after upgrading to PS4 version I've registered another copy of PS3 version which went fine through Sony web but still doesn't show as active on Mogstation but I believe that's because it needs me to start up and login to PS3 version again to get it reactivated.
I'm assuming that SE believes that their billing system will prevent people who shouldn't play on the PS4 from doing so. I wrote before that FFXIV's console authentication system is two layers. First on Sony's side, verifying you own the client, then on SE's side verifying you have a valid flag for that console on your account.

Can we use the mic with other ps4 players? I didn't think we could but I remember someone in a "say" conversation saying we can. I thought no voice communication at all through game
There is no VOIP option in game, though supposedly if you add people in party chat it should work with PS4 players and PS Vita players.
Apparently my code has already been used and I can not download the game.
Everybody's getting this message but that's (at least at the moment) not realy an issue as the game client is the same as the Stage 2 beta client so if you already have it downladed before just use it, otherwise download it for free form PSN - jsut look for final fantasy XIV.
I totally forgot about the code! It never asked me for it. Guess it's superfluous...
I just did a good old reboot on the PS4 typed in the code again and it worked!.
I am also having an issue with the code. I got on the game with the phase 2 client and no fat chocobo or moogle minion but they show that I have them on the mog station.
