Pay for the new minions?
Like what kind of price range would you find acceptable?
Would u pay a lot like how ppl went crazy about the bluebird/tonberry minion or would u be like meh and buy it as 50k or something like most of the wind up minions?

Are we talking real money or gil?

That 650k that i just got from a bluebird would disagree with you. Plenty of people play this game SOLELY for the RPG factor of the game. If you categorize this game it is MMORPG. that is a VERY big factor of any online game and to deny that simple fact is harmful.

I paid 200k for blue bird, 120k for tonberry. sounds good deal

I have been seeing the new Baby Opo-Opo going for around 350k on my server which is just insane. I personally would never pay that much just for a minion that does nothing but make other players jealous who wanted it. It serves no purpose and is therefore a waste.

This person may only enjoy playing the progression or gear gathering aspect of this game. Interactive activities like housing and RPG factors appear not to be his flavor. Although, in MMORPG's, this sort of stuff is what makes it a MMORPG.

Minions don't do anything for me, so I won't pay anything for them. I'll wait and randomly get them whenever the game decides to roll the dice in my favor.

I suppose but housing isn't as useless as it has gardening = rare plants -> rare materials = sold to crafters = some extra gil

Sell HQ items for Leves or new Master Receipe Book. Do Roulettes for extra cash. Dungeons, just greed much as armor as possible, sell to GC. They can sell 695-805 seals each, can spend them on former Philo items.

And some of these ppl aren't even crafters or gatherers

Even send the Retainers to Ventures, they can turn up with 3 star craft items or even equipment.

He may have said that, but I doubt it will happen. The last Live Letter contained much that reads between the lines as "releasing housing was a really bad idea, because it puts a lot of strain on the servers!" I just don't see them increasing that strain anytime soon.

I usually don't buy a minion if I can make or earn it myself. Now, as for selling them, as much as I'm able to get away with, of course.

May the market for vanity always remain happy and healthy. I don't need to follow or agree with your playstyle to profit from it. :)

The problem is a lot of people seem to think their approach is the only valid approach, or at least the best one... in this vein, raid leader in my old FC thought gardening was the most ridiculous waste of development time ever and talked a lot of trash about people in the FC that enjoyed it... (Not to their face, of course). It'd be nice if more people realized their way isn't the only way to enjoy the game...
