Question about Binding Coil of Bahamut Turn 6

1. Can you actually stop the grab/eat combo if you stay inside the vine?
I tried it 2 times, but it doesn't work, I still be grabbed and eaten. Do I need to go very deep inside or Do I actually need to hide behind the vine? It is hard to go that far due to heavy status once you hit the vine. However, anybody can confirm how does this mechanic work?

2. the bouquet ability kill the tank that still auto-attack enemy or not?
I wonder if all the dps and tank have to change target in-order to stop auto-attack also?

The combo is 3 parts. Floral Trap can be avoided by standing in the briar. Devour can still get you if you are in his melee range to the front or sides when he does it. Even if you're in the briar.

There's a few ways to deal with Floral Trap/Devour, keep searching around:p

As for Blighted Bouquet, folk seemed confused by this last time I checked but in our groups experience it seems anything can trigger it. Skills, auto attacks, whatever... Moving your camera is ok, several in our group tried it and survived.

For me personally it seems like you can do whatever during it's cast as long as your character is completely in the idle animation when the cast is finished. I usually deselect the mob by right clicking somewhere on the screen (ESC might work too?).

1. You have to be far away enough from the boss. Assuming you are tanking it in the center, and if you are underneath it or within range of Devour, even if you don't get sucked in, you can still get eaten. The pull mechanism exists so the boss can devour targets, you need some sort of distance between the briar and the boss. Tanking it in the center creates this distance.

2. There have been multiple reports about some working, and not working. It's safer to just stop auto-attacking or doing anything at all - either sheathe your weapon (Z button on PC/keyboard), or spam Escape until you are no longer targeting the boss (or hornet if it is up).

The easiest way we've found to deal with the devour/floral trap phase does not include the briar at all. The person who gets the yellow light bulb stays directly behind the Raf, the rest of the party heads in front of him (don't worry he doesn't cleave during this phase yet). As soon as the light bulb disappears from that persons head they run directly through Raf. The person running will get stunned for a second, but NOT devoured. After the stun wears off Raf will do Spit. This is when the entire party moves back behind the boss to avoid the cleave when he spins back to face the tank.

So what you're saying is the range is like the Coincounter attack in AV or ADS splash attack in Turn 2?

Pretty sure that this is not working as intended, but abusing the poor/delayed position/mark updating.

Some tips from me :

1. Kill the bulb in the middle immediately after it spawns.
2. Never try to use the briar from the bulb in the middle of the field
3. Getting the briar DoT debuff is enough to prevent u from being devoured
4. Auto-attack is not included as an action, believe me, I'm a tank & sometimes I miss-pressed my Z but it doesn't kill me
Actually what I was trying to do when I saw Raf casts Bouquet is just press Z and get my hands off from my keyboard and mouse until it finished casting ;)

This can be made even more simple. Our group tonight (and the other groups in our FC) has been having the party (aside from the one who has the spore indicator) run to the tank on Rafflesia at the time. As soon as the targeted person does the run into Rafflesia to dodge the devour mechanic happens and she starts charging spit, only the tank currently on Rafflesia runs back through her to turn her away from the party for the next cleave. This way, no dps has to worry about shifting positions yet again and can focus on just pure damage for several extra seconds, and it means only one person has to deal with the hassle of moving instead of seven. We were doing this all night and were having a very smooth time with it.

My group does the same thing. Then we stand shoulder to shoulder (for the most part) for easier vine breakage or vertical line for last phase.

Maybe not working as intended or the method that SE wanted when designing the mechanics of the fight, but why not take advantage of it. I also doubt SE envisioned everyone enraging ADS and avoiding rot in T2.
