Treant In-Game Monster= Where?

Greetings!

In the opening cut-scene of the Gridinian storyline we get introduced to a crazy treant that eats the wolves attacking you like pieces of popcorn chicken. It then proceeds to chase you like a rampaging child at Comic-Con in need of Adderall.. Only to never be seen again once the Moogles quell it's ADHD.

Did the whole treant population just die out? Are they busy repopulating the damaged trees from attacks from the Empire? Bayohne I MUST know! Help me Obi-wan Bayohne! Your my ONLY Morbol!

Hes playing rockband with some moogles.

You saw all those wooden housing in Gridania? Guess where it came from :)

Um. In case you really want to know, there is usually one hanging around just east of Murmur Rills in the Black Shroud.

Morbol is not a treant <.<

yeah morbol, where are the morbols too? Treants were in opening cutscene of grid they should be in higher level areas. and bring our morbol back that annoying killed us in grid doing leves lol.

I'd like to argue that the opening cinematic has literally nothing to do with the game. Even moreso now that guildleves aren't going to be the central focus.

What zone is it in? Why aren't his levemates actually with him? What spells are they using? (I really want the blue spell)

In any case... its an opening cinematic. CGI = Hype and huge letdowns.

The OP don't mean the cinematic opening with the morbol, but the Gridania storyline opening with the treant.

OO still, I thought I looked but I guess not hard enough ^^ Per chance do you have <pos> for where it might be? Or a site (I don't wanna be a total lazy ass lol) that keeps up on where mobs spawns on, yg is little meh to me.

there are morbols everywhere. they are annoying x_x. Check my exploration guide -below in the sig- for the pos of some of them.

there are no treants in the game currently.

Or just look on yg. There's more than one morbol-type. It's a race actually. I think poison ivy is currently the strongest morbol.

Those Treants have no animations outside that cutscene, so I doubt we'll get them as mobs anytime soon.

I think maybe Georgia-Pacific is in cahoots with the Empire! 1 treant would make a TON of paper!

I think that the area you are in at the beginning of the Gridania story is off the 'hunting paths', hence why you draw the aggro of a giant tree beast, along with the big group of moogles being about. You will also notice that the area as a whole is actually very open compared to the rest of the shroud!

As to why I say 'hunting paths', this is what the people in Gridania warn you to stay on, so I'm assuming the areas we can access are those, rather than us dissapearing into the woods. Those native to Gridania don't seem to have as much danger if they stray, but we get munched by trees. How dissapointing!

Hopefully we do get to fight one eventually, I can see it being the one time for Botanists to shine haha - plenty of practice killing the smaller cousins.

Until a few months after launch there was a high level morbol slooching around camp tranquil right in one of the clearings where you had to pass or fight during guildleves. They were moved to some of the higher rank camps/gates, i know there are a few down by Sorrel Haven (28, 38)
