Atma quest questions

I been too busy farming soldiery and myth for my gear to do this quest so today I got started.

1. Do we have to do the locations in order? ex.

Central Shroud: Atma of the Maiden
Southern Thanalan: Atma of the the Scorpion
Upper La Noscea: Atma of the Water-bearer
East Shroud: Atma of the Goat
Eastern Thanalan: Atma of the Bull
La Noscea: Atma of the Ram
Western Thanalan: Atma of the Twins
Outer La Noscea: Atma of the Lion
Lower La Noscea: Atma of the Fish
North Shroud: Atma of the Archer
Central Thanalan: Atma of the Scales
Western La Noscea: Atma of the Crab

2. Does the item drop from the mobs or after you complete the fate?

3. should I join a party? or can I just solo this?

1. Nope you can do it any order.

2. You gain the Atma once you complete the FATE you won't miss it. It would flash on your screen Atma of the X obtained

3. You can solo it but its easier/takes less effort to get Gold when your in a party

1) no need to do them in order so just follow your own pattern

2) They drop by complete FATEs but right now chances are low but rate will increase through 2.3 or 2.4

3) Yes party would be easier to get gold.

Do you need a gold to get the Atma?

You do not need to get gold.

...and make sure you have at least 12 spots in you inventory because it would suck if it was full and you get it. I had the 4th tab empty when I atma farmed.

Are the fates labeled "atma of the _________"? Is it easy to spot them on the map?

No, because ANY fate in the zone has the random potential to drop an atma.

No. They're just random drops from FATEs. They don't have to be done in order, just the region they're listed in. You don't need gold to get one, just a "completed successfully" indication. You don't even have to stick around if others are already doing them, you just have to have participated in the FATE.

If anything, I'd recommend going after the fish one first. Then it is a tie between scorpion and archer. All the others are in generally easy areas to grind, though you will get sick of hearing the squeaks of kobolds after getting the lion one.

Oh I see. So even low level fates can drop them? Guess I'll be doing lots of them lol.
