Suggestion: secondary gearsets.

So I'm aware people are very against gear swapping like in ffxi coming to this game. But how about a secondary gearset? As in, each gearset is split into 2 sections that can be swapped between during combat. For example:

PLD's could have a MND set as it's secondary gearset, so it's cures might actually be worth something. MNK's could have a skill speed set and a crit set that it could swap between as the situation calls for it, Etc.

You can already swap gear between combats, so long you don't have aggro from an enemy (so only between combats, not during). And if you are in an instance, so long you don't change your class or job.

Sounds like an interesting suggestion.

So basically what you want is gear swapping, and no no, god no. If gear swapping ever comes anywhere near this game I will quit so fast I'll break the sound barrier.

No. If you want a final fantasy with gear swapping, go play XI.

Yes It's gear swapping, but it's controlled gear swapping, unlike XI where you could swap anything at any time with any number of pieces of gear, with this you will be limited to 2 sets that you can't modify in combat but can switch between those 2 fixed sets in combat. In a sense it's as much gear swapping as switching from sword oath to shield oath is gear swapping.

Not an additional gearset, a secondary set, think of it like a card, having an additional gearset is like having a second card, but you can only play one card at a time. A secondary gear set would be like having a 2 sided card, that you can flip over any time you like.

That's kind of a lazy view, it will be as much of a requirement as having your cross class skills is a requirement to join a dungeon, or a relic is some people's requirement to join a dungeon, or having gear at all is a requirement to join a dungeon, or being the appropriate level is a requirement to join a dungeon, should we get rid of all those so we're all naked level 1's who require nothing to take part in a dungeon?

Just want to say even if you can give PLD 100 MND, PLD's cure is still crap. It's because PLD's weapon is physical damage not magical.

Yeah I know. Was just an example, the way cures work really needs an adjustment but that's another topic. Another example would be PLD could have an acc set for main tanking and a crit set for off tanking when doing a tank swap.

do you know what hardcore requirement to enter dungeon either use df or pf?
watch video, low level dungeon need overgear, dead and kick, 1 fail abandon dungeon/quit
so it not lazy view as you think
