Another atma thread, of course!

Hi, I'm only making this post to make it clear that I've canceled my recurring subscription, and this decision was made mainly as a result of my disappointment in the atma/up in arms questline following 6 fruitless hours in the east shroud. As much as i may enjoy the rest of the content in patch 2.2, if this is to be taken as a sign of how much respect you have for players, or the quality we can expect for small group/solo/casual/off-peak hour content, then there are other things i can be doing with my leisure time.

Thank you for all the hard work on ARR until now, and good luck to the dev team in the future.

I wouldn't do that just yet, There is enough fun things to do in XIV 2.2 and no reason to leave, i'm @ 32 hours right now 0 atma. But i'm not gonna stop playing, might stop doing the quest if they don't change this but not gonna quite over it.

I would wait for a "FIX"(lets call it that) too. Since there are still enough non-insulting things to do for me atm. And I otherwise enjoyed the game.

wow this game is losing ppl cause of this rng - soon the game will be empty. At least make a dropchance increase per area with every 10 fate by 1%, so its not pure luck and you see how high your chance is

The estimate time to complete Atma phase and Trials of the Braves phase is, I think, around 200hours. My TOTAL playing time since FF14ARR launch is 500hours. 200hours for ONE weapon? lol

or you can NOT do that quest... and play the rest

wait till you want to upgrade your AF armor. The Item drop in Coil 7-8 i think and and because this place is locked it mean maybe a small % of drop ounce a week that you will have to fight need roll against the 7 other member of your party. that is going to be really fun aswell.

How does it take 500 hours? they drop averagely every few hours. Takes about 40 hours to get them all. It is good company seals for crafting mats and you can level your chocobo at the same time.

First, he said 200 for a weapon, not 500, but moving on....

Glad you were lucky, glad other people are lucky. Western La Noscea took me almost 300 fates, 12 hours plus or minus an hour. So far in Lower La Noscea 186 fates, about 8 hours (thanks to all the running around). At least you used the word average, but average means dick to the people burning 20+ hours just for two. I say + because I still don't have LLN atma... don't worry, after this one, only two more to go. Goat (already at 6 hours toward goat) and Maiden. The other 9 have only taken about 22 hours total, give or take an hour.

The math for my own time makes someone else get done in like 18 hours for all 12. Rng is stupid. Add on top of this the grind for your books and the things required by the books and you're looking at way more than 40 hours for one weapon.

it will not be empty but i will laugh so hard when they get the actual % of players with atma (provided that they got a LIFE) and i am so damn curious of what they will think of in the next relic upgrade... like 6 months to get it? ahahahah
