Petition to increase drop rate on Atma fates

I wish to start a formal petition about the atma fates and ask everyone to please be civil
not a thread to agree if you supper that the drop rate should be increased please post.

i was thinking you could post the number of char/jobs u wished to do this quest on and currently how much trouble you have been having

i currently play 4 chars, between i have all 8 classes levelled
and i have 5 atmas that have took me 24 hr combined to get

I agreed. We need to increase rate drop by .05 of each fate completed. Resets upon leaving a zone.

I have 1 character and I have all jobs except ACN to 50 with relics.
I have 1 Atma from maybe 20minutes of actual FATEs.

I do not sign because it is not necessary. This is another way to play the game and I like it the way it is. There are other options for people who do not want to do this.

I disagree. Please leave drop rates the same. Make us earn it.

You're not earning anything any more than someone else by getting lucky with atma drops. It requires no skill.

That said, yes, raise drop rates or figure something else out because this is utterly ridiculous.

I agree with an increase in drop rates. Some of us don't have enough time during the day to put in to atma drops. The drops require no skill, and come down to praying to a Random Number Generator and watching it laugh in your face. I've seen people grind FATEs for upwards of 20 hours or so without a single drop. I've been going at it for 2 days without one. Square Enix advertised a 4% to 10% drop rate, but it clearly isn't the case for a lot of people.

what i find funny is all the elitists going oh this is fine, leave them as they are. when the general consensus in my fc is that atma unless your really lucky isnt even worth the time to spend grinding out. I mean yes you can upgrade it but even the base weapon at ilvl 100 is a carbon copy of your zenith with an inflated ilvl and im sorry but that is stupid. I would honestly rather spend my time in game doing something that actually feels productive...

Leave it as they are, I see them as a long term goal with chances that will keep improving with each patch. Not even a week and people complaining they dont have it now?

These morons will be the biggest QQ in the forums when the next 11 don't drop that quickly for them.

I got my first drop in hour #23 of grinding, but even I still don't think they should change the drop rate. I'd much rather they change the structure of the quest to something you can make steady and assured progress on (slowly).

For a quest that's supposed to be a time sink, RNG is a bad way to do that. The way it stands, it's a time sink only if you are unlucky, which is just bad design. It should be an equal time sink for everyone.

Oh so the general consensus of your small group of friends (your FC) say it isn't worth it? Well why didnt you say so? That was all SE was waiting for. It is impossible to please everyone. If it isnt worth it, dont do it. Do something that "feels productive." P.S. The general consensus of my FC likes that this will take longer than a week.

I would take an increase to drop rate, but whether to raise it or not, to me, is not the issue. They need to, they SHOULD, rework the quest entirely, but chances of that happening are very slim. I enjoy a challenge, and earning my gear. Grinding for hours and hours, on low level content, in hopes you get lucky for a drop, is ridiculous, and requires no amount of skill to accomplish. RNG should not be tied into a relic weapon quest at all, period. Maybe I am too old school a gamer, but I believe that obtaining a weapon like that should be through coming out on top of a challenge with others, but hey, I am a dying breed anyways, what do I matter?

Yeah they should rework the quest entirely.
They want it to be a time sink grindfest, players agree to have a grindfest quest, that's fine ! Complete 200 Fates in each 12 zones, or something like this : it will take hours and hours, or even days, no problem BUT, you have a goal and a progression.
You know when it ends. I would rather have a korean grindfest than this totally RNG mecanism !
BTW it's litterally a korean grindfest if you are not lucky, except you don't see the end...
With this totally RNG-based thing, which requires no skill at all, you can drop 4 atmas in an hour, then nothing within 14 hours, or more ! It's not fun, and you don't know if there is a bug, nor when you will drop your 5th atma. And you have 12 to collect...

Yeah, the Atma quest needs to be redone. And Im not saying this, because I got only 1 atma stone after 3 days of grinding, but because the whole server is practically obsessed with it. New players who start from Limsa or Ul'dahl just cant complete them properly, since they are all monopolised by atma fategrinding parties. What's more, it became harder to make a propper party from my fc members, as everyone are just grinding fates.

Just stop spending 6 hours at a time grinding away at it. I've been doing it leisurely, 20 mins here or there, and I have 5.

I currently have 2 and with current rate and doing 20mins at time it would take me 216 times before I would get all 12 meaning whole weapon would be totally useless at that point and whole time would have been wasted. I'm not playing everyday and not too long when I play so it would take me like half year to get Atma without being lucky with drops. RNG is just one of the worst systems ever, 10% change to get something means 90% change to not get it. For million players drop seems good, but single player can play for ages without getting single one.

Problem is that relics themselves are utter crap. You put in lots of effort to get a weapon which is equivalent at best to other stuff you can farm with runs around 10 minutes.

Game is flooded by high end gear gotten from primals?!? I mean fighting a monster for less than 10 minutes shouldnt really give you anything except cosmetic gear or tomes or something like that.

Give us some balance. Remove gear drops from primals. Make the dungeon harder and by harder I mean something that just wont go through everytime you go there.

Rearrange weapons so that it makes sence.
Weapon obtained by misc means ilv80, relic weapon ilv80, relic zenith ilv90, old coil weapon ilv95, atma relic ilv100 (and remove fates, make us run dungeons or something), animus relic ilv110, new coil weapon ilv115.

Fully upgraded relic should be clear 2nd choise of weapon topped only by the best weapon gotten from the hardest place there is.

I support the petition, give us something more creative than this mindless grind that require no skill and have me ''stealing'' from neewbie.I solo zerged a fate with a new player,i swear, he couldn't get a mob cuz i was just one shooting them plus i know the fate so i know the respawn point(Y wouldn't i invite him,i spent the last hours doing the same fates,in which state of mind you think one would be). I devoted around 16 hrs for one atma when my neighbor got his upgrade in the same amount of time or less,not fair at all.I understand that some one get his relic before me by besting the bosses and Titan cuz it required skill that i may not have yet so it's normal, go train some more but this luck based thing is more frustrating than anything,basically,Atma is for the luckiest come on. It show some lack of creativity and laziness from the dev(that's my opinion).

As much as i love the game, this stuff and others (that i won't mention yet, i have hope *sigh*) really put me off.

What will happen to all of the new players that start playing on April 14th is the real concern that I have. SE wants more people to get into the game, but with the current RNG on Atma the FATES will be over-run for quite some time to come. I already have a handful of x'fers in my FC/LS on my server that are lv10-lv20 and they are already getting upset over this issue. If SE's intention was to make it so FATES would be getting used regularly they sure went about it in the wrong manor. Atma drop rates shouldn't be up'd, but rather the method in obtaining them should be changed. Even if they made it drop from specific FATES would make more sense then having a zone zerg imo. Let's all be honest with ourselves though. Whenever they first release new gear/content they always make it very difficult or time consuming to acquire things in the beginning but then by the next patch they add in more and tend to make it easier. Makes me wonder if getting my last 2 Atma is a waste of my time atm.

I don't mind it being a bit grindy, but please just get rid of the RNG aspect of it. they should of made it something like do this many Fates in this per area to make the atma piece, could of be several hundred if was ment to be something long term. Those that truly want to grind it quick and get what they want can, those that don't at least see some sort of goal the can reach. This whole done by just shear luck is joke...

rewashing old content to make people waste time over is sad. you could have made it an achievement thing
or reward system for completing certain trials but no. you went with "Hey lets have them run around a zone grinding FATEs for hours on end

Yeah...SE just want us to waste time..i love the game...but i hate to waste time in one thing...this game dont need this hold players...this game is good enough to hold without it...3-5 hours in just one stone?? please -_-...1-2 months to complete the set of armor?? please -_- take it easy ok Square -_-
