They are all pretty easy and depends on how you like to play. But I'd say the easiest will be archer. They can constantly move while dpsing at the same time.
As for the pvp.. its a work in progress but its decent. Doesnt seem too competative atm.
Archer is easily the right decision.
I could agree with that. Archer is the easiest thing to start with, and you can try other later, you are free to switch as much as you like. Archer attacks from range and can attack while running.
Welcome! As everyone has said already, Archer (ARC for short) is probably the easiest class to start off with, although it's Job upgrade later in the game (Bard, or BRD), is a little more complex. However, a shor ttime after starting you'll be able to switch classes when you feel like so you won't be locked into that choice for the entire game so if you don't like it later you'll be free to change. :)
Really though, the most important thing is to, have fun! :D
thx very much guys I have been having a look round youtube and I think I like acanist (hope I typed that right lol) but I think I will start as an archer , can I also ask about all these ... AOE ,DSP and any others as I keep seeing them and im not sure what they mean
The ones you mentioned specifically, AoE and DPS (not DSP), mean Area of Effect and Damage Per Second. AoE in this game is largely communicated with red shapes on the ground; it's just the area where, if you stand in it, you will get hit by an ability.
DPS is what it sounds like; how much Damage someone is doing every second.
Here's a link I just quickly found that may help out:

Thx again for all the help I am really looking forward to this on the PS4, I was wondering if there was a guide anywhere on macros I have seen them being used on youtube but I would really like to use them in game but I am clueless how

This one is great to help you get started.
I would highly recommend giving gladiator, warrior, or conjurer a try. They're not that much more difficult to play, but the game needs more tanks and healers. Plus you'll have short waiting times on dungeons ;)
It's funny the ARC starts off as an easy playable character but once you pick up your job it totally changes gears and all of a sudden you find yourself being trolled because people resent that job as being relatively easy when in truth that couldn't be more further from the truth. You have a unique array of tools and range which unfortunately can not be mastered with sub par skills to do ballads, aoe, bait mobs, silence etc... Rewarding if you can master a Bards mechanics but if you want less demands and clear instructions then don't look pass DRG and Monk pure dps in its most potent form.
The other nice thing about starting as an archer is at level 15, you can switch over to thaumaturge and level to 30. Once you reach level 30 thaumaturge, you can start the black mage job which is literally a blast! The only draw back to a thaumaturge or blk mage is the platform you are working from. I play on PS3 (soon to be PS4); however, I have found that targeting can be tricky on large mobs in the dungeons, especially when multiple adds need sleep at one time to take pressure off the tank and melee DPS class. The class can be brutal for noobs (like me) because you need to know how the dungeons work (AOE attack or single attack...when to sleep or not) or veteran players can get pretty nasty. Just night before last, I was running the haunted mansion for the first time, and our dragoon up and quit the instance because I was not following the attack orders from the tank to his liking. You just need to prepare to grow thick skin with this community.
