Id like to discuss everyones opinion on what the fastest way to get tomes are now that 2.2 is out. For instance as an example : WP 30 myth, 10 Sol/ 15 mins. Lets keep this clean and informative folks :)

Braxflox, 14 min, 45 tomes of soldier, war, blm, blm, whm
seriously.... 14 minutes on Brayflox?!?!
I havent gotten a chance to play 2.2 yet.... been on a 70 hour work week... i'm curious about the new dungeons.... is Brayflox the new uber speed run?
Wow thats impressive. Ill have to try it when i get home. Can anyone else top this?
you can really heavy pull in brayflox, although it was tough
Just doing Halatali and brayflox for the first time( 1 wipe each) we got them done in about 20 minutes.
I have done all new dungeons and yes Brayflox is by far the fastest way, easiest bosses. We did it with bard monk combo. but any combo works well. do it in like 14-20 min depending on the amount of "slack" in your group. But atleast for the 1st 3 weeks I would recommend doing it with people from your FC. Because if you go with duty finder you end up with people in darklight/ilvl 50 going: Whut to do, me new here dunno tactics. And then you do end up for 45 min in there. it's 10 runs of brayflox to cap your soldiery each week. 1 run 15 min so 2,5 hours each week. seems really reasonable. :)
How many tomes does the old dungeons give now that 2.2 is out?
What is a good dungeon to run for myth?
All of the LVL. 50 dungeons(except Wanderer's Palace and Amdapor Keep give 30) give 50 mythology/run. Most of the roulettes are worth running for the extra tomes. Even DR: Low Level gives 60 myth(10 more than you would get running a straight dungeon). After you use up the daily DR's though just go with whichever you feel is easiest for you.
The current winner atm is brayflox hm. But i personally find halatali better. For some reason i lag terribly in brayflox, others do as well. We were all on ps3.
Brayflox HM:
If you're just after myth, you can quit after the 2nd boss. my group (war/blm/blm/whm) was clearing it in 10 mins. 3rd boss drops 45 sol, it adds another 4-5 mins to the run. Overall this is really fast and will probably get nerfed at some point like AK did.
Brayflox HM is definitely the fastest. My group was clearing the entire dungeon in 11 minutes. Full i90 (2 with allagan weap) War/whm/drg/blm. The first part can be done in 2 pulls (maybe 1, definitely once people have better gear), gather em up and AoE them down. In between 1st and 2nd boss can be done in 1 pull, gathering all goblin groups and avoiding the raptors. Adds can also be ignored on the 1st and 2nd bosses. In between after the 1st gate after the 2nd boss, all that can be done in 1 pull as well. For the final boss, you can also skip the giant bomb phase with melee LB. So for an optimal group 50 myth and 45 soldiery it can be 10-11 min. For just the 50 myth probably around 7. Not sure if bard/blm or drg/blm or blm/blm is better because drg blm allows you skip the final bomb phase and bosses die quicker, but the others get the trash done quicker obv. We got it down to 11 minutes in 4 tries as well so it can definitely improve. And for less optimal set-ups it shouldn't be much longer as long as you can do the big pulls without dying.
Best time I got was about 18 mins with pug but that was my first run ever in that dungeon. Same party set up too. Sorry melee guess this is another dungeon you're going to get jibbed on.
On topic:
I think the new hard dungeons BL and Hal might be the go-to for quick tomes. It gives 50 myths plus 45 solid (not including df bonus) and if you can run it in 15-20 mins its effectively faster than waiting for 23 other people to que in ct. Plus a lot of people are doing these dungeons for those solid tomes so wait times are gonna be low, well for tanks anyways :P Don' forget the beast dailies and treasure hunts too to add on to your count.
Did brayflox hard in 18 minutes as war. With BLM , drg ans sch. Was a DF group too, all first timers but well geared
If you just want Myth get a good group do first two bosses, leave and repeat. Only first two bosses give myth.
I spent a lot of time farming 900 Myth for Thanvnarian Mist this weekend. I did CT.
-Most PuG players have enough experience there that they know what to do. I know the place well enough to provide very simple instructions where people usually screw up.
-I could use the ilv80 gear as a stop gap.
-It went well during off hours, but not well during peak hours, and idk if it got worse or my patience grew thinner.
**I will be doing expert roulette once a day, but I think I'm done 'farming' for now.
I've been doing first two bosses of Brayflox's Longstep with Party Finder PUG's, and average about 10 minutes a run with BLM, BRD, PLD, and WHM or SCH. Not the fastest time reached, but not bad. 300 myth/hour is more than workable.
Brayflox: Split the first pull into two groups if gear demands it (once people get more allagan gear you can probably do it in one). If you DO split, the key drops off the goblins in the third pack and much of the trash can be slept, so you might consider pulling first 3 and aoeing/grabbing the key, then pulling the rest to the outside of the boss area and holding them there till they get locked out.
For the first boss, your group can skip adds if dps is good enough.
After first boss, pull all three goblin packs and avoid the bird patrols. Aoe them down, wait for Brayflox to RP, then to the second boss.
For the second boss, your group can skip adds if dps is good enough.
After the second boss, pull the first three mobs, either single target the goblins to get the key or AoE all three, whichever is faster for you, grab the key, and pull the rest of the zone. If your dps is good enough or bad enough, you can LB here to save time (good enough works because you won't need LB to skip 3rd bombs on boss, bad enough works because you'll get another bar of LB during the boss, in the middle is no good and you should save the LB) . Once it's all dead, grab the key, onto the third boss.
For the third boss, handle it like usual. If your dps is good enough, you can save cds for just before he starts circling for the third time and kill him before he goes immune. If not, you should LB at that point to kill him before he goes immune. That third bomb phase is an enormous time waster; do whatever you can to avoid it.
My personal best is ~12 minutes. Somebody in my FC says they've gotten 11; people with full High Allagan kit can probably knock it down to 7-9 minutes.
I tried to get to the first boss in Bray in 1 big trash pull and we wiped. I'm not sure how you're supposed to handle those kind of pulls? It seems like the tank and healer should blow all of their CDs since the bosses are easier than the big trash pull? Should the healer ignore status effects like paralyze on the tank? Should DPS just use their highest damage, or throw in aoe sleep/bind/stun?
Did a bunch of runs of Brayflox last night, though full runs. My group and I didn't want to miss out on the Soldiery tomes. Got me a new piece of Myth equipment, an additional 150 Myth tomes, and took my Soldiery from 450 to 816 in a few hours.
Was really fun! We even had a tank that was so shocked that we defeated the final boss before he even called out his big megabomb!
I'm not sure how much it'd be nerfed as there's no real exploit here (aside from farming the first 2 bosses and leaving). The only thing I can see SE doing is nerfing the amount of Myth you get from the first bosses then adding that removed Myth to the final boss
Brayflox is the fastest one I have done. Was getting about 8 1/2 mins a run. Those gliders before second boss are annoying though, not hard just annoying.
Haukke Manor HM just as quick as Brayflox HM for myth - 8-9 min runs to 2nd boss.
