Aesthetician woes

Hey there all, so before I start I just want to thank SE for even putting the aesthetician in the game, and even making new hairstyles once in a while. Most MMO devs dont bother with these things, so thanks for that!

When he first came out, I was pretty excited, it was actually my most anticipated feature being added at the time. I noticed there wasn't really much of anything new so I was a sad, but not too much since they said they were going to add more over time. Which brings me to todays patch update. I was just expecting more. I figured the hairstyles they showed us were probably just a few of them out of maybe 5, but just like last time its only a couple new ones and a couple recycled ones. What I would ask the devs to do, is make more of the hairstyles already in the game available to more of the races. maybe do monthly aesthetician updates? I don't want to look like everybody else, but I also want to use something new.

tl;dr PLEASE give aesthetician more love!

Is there a gallery showing off the new styles yet? I still have hours to go at work >.<

I'm scared to look, I'm sure us lady roe's got a recycle but. Have doubts about a new style...

On topic I agree with this and would love to see it as a lover of vanity/aesthetics.

from what i've seen running around, lala girls got 1 new one, the elezen ladies got 1 new one and got the twin pontytail recycle, the cat girls got 1 new one, female highlanders got 1 recyclded femroe style, and im pretty sure midlander females got 1 new one. i can only be 100% sure of the miq'ote tho since thats what race i am. but im sitting here watching people run around, and im watching for new ones. i really wanted the long femroe style with bangs for other races, its so pretty.

I was looking forward to the one showed in screenshots of Elezen males. Thought I'd finally be able to get long hair on my male midlander. But no. The one available to midlander men was halfway between the preview pics and the previously longest hairstyle. Plus it had this tuft of hair sticking up on top of the head that didn't make sense at all. O.o

Give me my long hair, dangnabbit!

At least enable the only male long hair that's now on highlanders! D: Since it's there, that proves it's possible to have long hair on guys, right?
(Or make highlander males less gross-looking in the face. Then I'd be able to Phantasia myself to long hair, at least!)

I'm stuck at work, can anyone verify what kinds of hairstyles male elezen got? Any new ponytails...?

I was slightly disappointed too. That some of the styles might be difficult to convert to all races, I can understand, but the meager content they're actually giving us? That makes me sad. Especially since I absolutely LOVE things like aesthetics and vanity and being able to be creative. Surely they could at least convert what is possible? *sigh*

Elezan females still have about 5-6 options with the EXACT same thing. >_>+

According to one of the latest interviews with Yoshi, they really pay attention to the amounts of thumbs-up's posts for new ideas get. You should append your OP to ask people to Like if they agree. I threw you a Like btw :)

I've had the same haircut since launch because none of the other ones really appealed to me. I'm hoping to be able to change it today when I get home from work, but now I won't hold my breath....

Cat gents also only got one new one. I guess the shaved-side Roe hair was going to look too weird with the ears?

The new male Miqo'te cut also has that peculiar tuft on top. If it wasn't for that I would have been more than happy to spend 2,000 gil to get my hair did, but as it is now I just can't. Its just too distracting lol

But since they crossed over the roe hairstyles from 2.1 this patch, then I can expect the elezen hairs for 2.3

Midlanders got two hairstyles. One of them is a Roe female hair and the other is the shoulder length style I believe most of the other races got.

ive seen one new one for the males so far, it was a shoulder length one, no new ponytails that ive seen.

Not all races got the femroe hair, so that's not a certainty =(

The main issue is that as long as they add only 1/2 hairstyles at a time, everybody will keep "looking like everybody else", because the majority will go for the new hairstyle. New is cool, it's how the market works and that will never change. It'll be easier to look "different" by sticking to the standard, start-out hairstyles rather than choosing the new ones.

Fem Roes did get the new long hair that I think all the female races got. I know Lalafel males got the top knots that roegadyn males have and they also have the fem roe one sided cut.

When they say there new hairstyles with the patch I would expect 3-4 per race/gender not 3-4 total for all combined

The first thing I did when I logged into 2.2 was check the haircuts. Needless to say I was pretty disappointed. Lala males got mullets. Yes...mullets. Excuse me while I go cry in a corner while everyone makes fun of us. ;-;

Is it REALLY DIFFICULT for SE to add ALL FINAL FANTASY SERIES MAIN PLAYABLE CHARACTERS hairstyles?

All I wanted was eye color option. Second Aesth. patch in, no eye color. Sadday. Even sadder when I believe Yoshi himself said that should be fine to add in as an option since color contacts exist. Le sigh.

Yeah! I want my manly (Gandalf) beard and hairy chest! XD

indeed :) thats why i made this thread, in hopes of getting their attention so that in the future, they would add more than they did with this patch and the last one.

Yeah we need more hairstyles. I switched to the new hairstyle today and it looks adorable. Only problem is everyone and their mother has switched to it. I don't think many people will switch back to another hairstyle either, cause this is one of the first decent ones we got.

The new hairstyles mostly suck.
