I end up getting sleepy after 10-15 minutes while crafting...
How are you crafters keeping up without ending up sleeping???
/sigh 29 armorer trying to hit 32 armorer... I know I can do it but end up zzz'ing most of the time lol.
Dev's need a way to make crafting bit more fun... color of the glowing ball alone isn't fun...
- Listening to other music = not working (heavy metal not keeping me up..)
- Energy Drinks + Coffee = not working
- Watching anime/movies while crafting = I start forgetting to click the option to craft...
- telling wife to slap me ever time I'm falling asleep = not working.. it just hurts...

07-06-2011, 07:38 AMdarkstarpoet1i do option 1, 2, and 3. i avoid option 4 because the wife would enjoy it way too much. i usually turn up the sound on the speakers while watching movies or listening to music. you can hear when the synth either succeeds or fails and i use a controller so the x button i just click while in my hand. the only time i look to the game is when starting the next synth when crafting most times.Quote:

I actually managed to synth continue grinding half asleep, eyes closed and all. but usually I'm not even paying attention. On occassion I'll play Diablo 2 on my laptop while synthing XD
Sometimes I got music playing, no anime as computer is hooked up to the TV.
Basically, I found that simply doing something else and only partially paying attention to the game when synthing (ie. enough to remember to keep pressing the comfirm button). I usually do it by sound cues during synthing, so I rarely, if ever look at the screen during crafting. -

Everyone is doing something else outside of the game while crafting... = crafting is boring as hell...
Dev's need to look into it... lol
For now I'll just try the anime/movies while crafting and try to keep eye open on crafting screen... or steal my wifes monitor to watch anime on their while i craft and she sleeps :D -

Dunno how it belongs in this part of the thread since it's not actually about the game play but falling asleep in real life... which I thought would belong to General Discussion; oh well... At least I got my answers for this one I guess its OK w unless a Rep is summoned and gives us a crazy answer with overhaul to the crafting system :D /grin

In addition to my earlier post, sometimes I like the fact that it's boring as hell. if I can't sleep for example I'll log onto 14 to craft, works everytime, sad, but it's like a sleeping pill but without having to actually swallow something.
Not saying it shouldn't be changed to become fun, 'cause it should. Just mentioning that it does have at least 1 use! -

I dont have this problem with crafting. I like the way it is.
However,
I do have this problem with falling asleep while walking from place to place. Never fails.
Everything is so far apart in game. Even in the citys gotta walk from the boat all the way to the armorers guild or from the leve counter to the repair man oh! back down stairs and then all the way accross the map to leave the city.
Anima only last so long but i still cant warp from boat to guild and so on. I like the way the layout is.
At times i wonder if its a sleeping disorder. But now after reading this thread,
Maybe stuff is really boring and i just didnt want to admit it. -

The fact that a thread like this exists, especially considering the fact that crafting was supposed to be a fun minigame, really makes me think that it has a long way to go.
