So...Yugiri

Has a tail, but different that Miqo'te one, and floppy ears. What race do you think she is?

Yoshida wanted to implement a reptilian race over a Viera race... So safe to assume Yugiri is a reptile

I haven't seen her in game yet but based on that screen shot that looks like a scaly lizard tail.

The tail doesn't look quite scaly to be reptilian, in my opinion. :)

Could be a female thing. Female Roegadyn aren't as big and muscular as Male Roegadyn seem to naturally be (THANK GOODNESS)

It's weird that the tail doesn't match the hands at all. The tail looks reptilian and the hands look like normal human hands, no scales or fur or anything.

edit. Or maybe those are gloves? Can't tell looking at it on my phone.

Tail looks rat like to me but i am probably way off.

Anyway, there are Illuminati in Brayflox, Yugiri seems to be reptilian...just a thought haha.

Obviously, she's fooled everyone, and is actually a Hyur with a tail-belt and ear-headband.

Tail does look scale like from doing the main scenario.

Yeah, if you look at the tail closely it's definitely scales.

Kinda looks like a Bangaa's tail.

After reading the posts, I'm glad they're introducing an actual beast race. I would love to see bangaas or burmecian from FF IX. I won't say this game NES variety when it comes to races, but it will help to create an interesting world. Non-human classes with weird traits would be interesting. Miqo'tes are just humans with tails and cat ears. I want something DIFFERENT.

The only problem I see with all the reptilian races that have been brought up is how elongated their jaws are and how flat Yugiri's face must be under that mask.

No room under that mask for a Bangaa's snout. Which is why I'm going with Gria. The "ears" would actually be horns if this is the case.
