So wait...only partial information on 2.2?

From what I saw in the new 2.2 Patch Notes, all they did was repeat the same thing they did in February but with more detail. If this wasn't everything then what did they leave out? I thought they covered everything they were supposed to highlighting the patch and we even got quest line road maps.

I'm curious as to what was left out for them to say, only a portion of the info was released.

The Developer's Blog says, "Also, in case you didn't hear the news, we've posted a portion of the Patch 2.2 patch notes! Give them a look over!"

I'm guessing they didn't leave out much, maybe just a few things here and there that they aren't quite done with yet.

They're saving the rest of the patch notes for maintenance day, so people who are eager to play can keep themselves busy reading the notes and make a better roadmap/to-do list.

They might also want to prevent people from theorycrafting just yet, you have to remember, the patch notes pretty much gives everything, like which quest unlock which. So I guess they want to keep it hush-hush for as long as possible. I'm excited about the lodestone update that comes with it, can't wait to see the stats on tome and coil gear <3

Saving the big list of specific items added, among other things.

Probably little things were left out the notes like Idle Animations that are coming this week and other little details that help with immersion.
Eitherway soon we'll see what fun they have in store for us, personally im hoping for bigger inventory and retainer storage.

Considering I stil have 2.1 to go through it doesnt really effect me much haha, soon though since im near the end of 2.0 XD

This isn't anything new. They have always only posted a portion before. Items added, other small things as well as expanding more on some of the specifics of others.

Stuff like zodiac weapons was not there.

actually they said there aren't any major job nerfs this time around.

also the patch notes had no items except like the showing of like the 4 new horses but none of the new items (gear) it will have all that information.

It may not be in the patch notes even, maybe just a quick mention and where to go, outside of that no extreme details on it.

It's entirely possible that anything left out may be undergoing some final tweaks and do not wish to post something that could change after the notes go up.

They always...well almost always save anything that could have any economical repercussions till the last minute. Kinda surprised they posted the info about philo mats becoming gc seals early.

Now that I think about it, that was a bit surprising. Especially their cost (yeah, yeah, people are at cap and all, but gaining seals is a lot slower now, and with Ventures also in there...). I guess they're expecting the demand for them to absolutely tank.


But yeah, all the items are missing, and new crafts, so that should all be up during maintenance

During the live letter they apologised for not having the full patch notes because not everything was ready and they'd add it to the notes later. I think they didnt include the new pvp info showed off in the letter, we also havent seen what new gear we'll buy with the tomes (hopefully the next tier of AF they showed off ages ago)

Yoshi specifically said as well that full patch notes would give some people too much of an advantage at this point. Likely related to items needed for new crafts and quests. The don't want people to hoard, stockpile or buy out the markets.

This is exactly what he said during the live letter. They are trying to add as much as they can before the patch releases. We'll get the final release of the patch notes on the 27th when they read them to us live during maintenance. What they haven't included in the patch notes yet:

- Bug fixes
- Quality of life changes
- The entire list of new items being added (2.1's list had like 600 items on it; 300 being housing related.)

Some information cannot be released until the servers go down. Early information can lead to an unfair advantage so they wait until the servers are down before we can capitalize on it.

In the Maelstrom vid, at the mog extreme part, there's a monk (our poses makes it easy to know) in the back that seems to be wearing a sort of skirt outfit.

I wish they showed monks more upfront in the videos, we're never that visible in most of them.

The other set that monks can wear seems to be the biker set according to the costume vid (far left char at the second dance is a monk)

I'm not going to be surprised if BLM gets a buff and SMN gets a nerf. SMN is so versatile with its current state that it makes it the more popular choice to bring to a party then a BLM because battle res is so damn useful and also the fact that even though the smn tiny heal doesn't heal for much its still better then nothing.

blm has access to the same tiny heal. but they said that while admitting blm being weaker, they don't wanna buff it's damage cause of it's defensive abilities.
