Let me tell you how good this game is...

To start, I won $10k from a superbowl pool. Spent 2k on an xbox one, PS4, Wii U, and a new graphics card (I love gaming). Xbox one total play time 4 hours, PS4 <1 hour, Wii U 8ish hours (Super Mario 3D World is great!). What's to play blame? FFXIV.

Community: For the most part people seem to be pretty friendly. You have those rage quitting jerks that would rather complain than explain to someone what they're doing wrong. I guarantee you'll find those in ANY MMORPG you find. Free Company system is one of the best I've seen. Gives great reward for being part of an FC. They give us the option to easily find parties of people on your own server to play with or play with a random group of players from servers around the globe. Advice: Use Duty Finder to get to know the fights, then use Party Finder to get a solid group of players together to complete the duty.

Re-playability: In my opinion, they doing a fantastic job with the gear progression to keep players coming back from more. The dungeons/primal fights are a fun too! I've never played a MMORP where I enjoy leveling alts more. Sure you'll run out of story quests, but there's such a varity of things to do to gain xp. Daily duty and guildheist roulettes, FATES, leve quests, hunting log, an of course plenty of dungeons. The patches are filled with content too.

Servers are as stable as an MMO gets. Bugs are few and far between. I can't remember the last time I've seen a boss or even a regular mob glitch. Story is great. Different story for each class, even crafters & gatherers. I don't even need to mention the graphics. All the classes are a lot of fun, there's plenty of diversity. Tanking, healing, a DDing a dungeon are 3 different experiences and all done very well.

I could go on, but I've just been rambling and I want to get back into the game!

Totally agree. I've played tons of mmo's and quit one I've played for 5 years because this one is too damn epic for me. I grew up with Final Fantasy, so this is just the best no matter what for me.

Good to hear about people enjoying the game. A few of my RL friends and I quite enjoy the game as well; we'll occasionally run dungeons with each other, and it can get a bit hectic (and hilarious) because we all like to make things difficult for each other - I can't tell you how long Titan took, but let me tell ya that the laughs were well worth it. :p

Really minor bugs what so ever since release (like I think the only issue I had overall was to not be able to validate a quest and it happened like ... once ...) and no lag aswell whatsoever (beein in Paris, playin on NA server, no issues at all and I dont even have a top notch connection) : yep, its solid.

Oh, please. There's countless other threads complaining about the issues players face in ARR. Can't you get off your high horse and let one of the few upbeat threads be?

Happy to see such post as OP did. And to be fair I think a lot like him for most part. Playing with friends is great except when it comes to party finder.

I'd love people would stop sticking their finger in their noses and to behave, stopping to use their screen immunity and to act nice to each other! That is the only turn down I find to the game! Just look at the forums here, 2.2 going out soon... And there is a river of complaint!

its in my top 5 favorite FF games. a lot of fan service and compliments to FF history, gameplay is fun and varied and balanced very well. just the right amount of action so its not pure action or pure turn based. a good mix of both even if it borrows heavily from WoW. my only wishes is that the world was bigger and it wasnt so easy to level up, but still the game moves along at a brisk pace and theres a lot to see and do.

I've had the same experience, heheh ^^

I bought a PS4, and that's the reason I'm here now. Was playing all kinds of PS4 games Downloaded the PS4 beta. Tried it. Fell in love. Now I have it for PC & preorder PS4. Only game I'm playing atm.

I haven't had such a great experience with an MMO since GW1 & Vanilla WoW. It's not perfect, there's tons of room for improvement, but it's really good.

I hope that it will keep my attention, and the endgame content is sufficiently challenging and fun, because WildStar is coming out soooon :P I'd love it if I'd still be in love with FFXIV by then though.

Fresh out WS beta weekend ... and don't worry at all. IMHO ... marketed (dev speak/trailers/...) and real game are two different beasts (even bigger disconnect than GW2 launch)

The end-game main scenario dungeons (Castrum Meridianum and The Praetorium) are really easy mainly because everyone's run them so many times that there's no trouble, but other than that, I enjoy it. :)
