[BLM] Ultima as an available spell.

I've been wondering if Black Mages will have access to Ultima in the near future.

would be cool, would have to be their strongest AOE spell if they do, so i assume it will be at higher levels when they raise the cap

or new limit if they add them

I like this idea very much. Flare and our other spells are great but with the lore of blm we should have even yet more devastation :)

Why? It's a boss move. You don't see other boss move getting used by the other jobs. :/ For AOE, you already have Flare that requires the tank to gather mobs which is what tank do anyway...

It's too important to the story to put in the hands of a mere adventurer. At least not for a long time when the game is getting along in the years. (I think they finally gave Meteor to blms in FFXI?)

Well, as much as I would love to see the Ultima spell available for BLM, I think with respect to how powerful this spell has been throughout all the final fantasy games, it should just be the new BLM Limit Break. It's just that powerful in my opinion. It's kind of like making Bahamut into an Egi, he's just too strong and legendary :)

pffft knowing SE, if it indeed EVER happens, it'll be like final tactic's Ultima and suck balls lol :P

Exactly what I was thinking. Lvl 5 LB Ultima. Lvl 6 LB X-Zone.

BLM will most likely NEVER see Ultima on their spell list. Have you forgotten Praetorium already? Ultima is the concentrated destructive essence of Zodiark itself, channeled from the void for no other purpose than to annihilate everything. The spell is so sinister in nature that Hydaelyn's essence was nearly wiped out by the supposedly simple act of protecting us from it. No, I see no future for a player-used Ultima spell unless SE completely scraps the whole planet essence vs. void essence spiritualism we've seen so far, and I'd rather not lose the game for another "calamity".

I kinda agree with this. We could see other spells, but if they ever added Ultima it would most likely be a Limit Break,

Well don't forget that SMN and BLM have the same LB ... so I don't see a SMN casting Ultima. They'll have to make Class' specific LB.

Funny how Summoner's books becomes Staves when casting Limit Break.

It won't happen for the same reason summoners can't summon primals. In the lore it's too destructive to the planet.

It would be really awesome to have that as a LB, but I doubt it would happen haha. Here's to dreaming.

It leveled the praetorium. I don't want to say it's too powerful, but it's too big.

Bahamut as SMN Limit Break.....*drools and has to have Eos close my mouth* But yea , these would be legandary attacks and would love to see these as limit breaks

Well black mage is already channeling and using the power of the void anyway plus we will be claimed by it when we die so I say lets go ALL the way! Oh ultima is a black magic spell according to the game lore maybe we could get a weaker version of it. Since it is the ultimate dark art.

Summoner's can summon primals according to the game lore but they don't so Black Mages won't get ultima even though its a Black Mage spell.
