Just Want To Say Thanks Yoshida and Dev Team!

I wanted to take a moment to say thanks for a very pleasant, in my opinion, game. Sure there are some rough spots and sometimes I get a little frustrated at a seeming lack of content but then I regain my common sense and remember this game is not yet even six months old. I have a single toon with five disciples of war classes and the three current gathering classes. I really wanted to express my gratitude for a visually pleasing environment that while I wish were bigger, I think is still beautiful to look at. I personally look forward to when/if Ishgard proper will be opened to us and if it has its own GC I intend to change my faction to it. There are some things I could say that I think would be awesome in the game. However that is a personal opinion and will be withheld for another time. In short, in spite of all the negativity, I thank you Yoshida and the members of the dev team for a wonderful game. May you continue to improve it as best as you all can as time allows.

Mhmm. I've had a lot of complaints about the game, but we're some 6 months down the road and I'm still here. Obviously something's keeping me playing. Cheers.

Truly thank you square for all the hard work you have done and not giving up on this game turning it into one of the best mmo's I have played in a while. The fact its still so young is saying something; so keep up the good work because i be sticking with you all for yrs to come. Thank you

I'd have to agree with you all, they are doing great work. I just hope that they continue this and keep listening to what the players want to some extent. I feel they have been doing this in a balanced manner and it has yielded great results with the majority of the player base.

To be quite honest, I have played a large number of other MMORPGs (throughout the last 14-15 years) and none have ever seen the kind of improvement and updating that FFXIV is doing as quickly as it is being done. Many other MMORPGs have desperately needed this kind of updating and for some of them, the reason I quit was because they just weren't updating the game fast enough, fixing things that needed fixing and adding new, enjoyable content.

I have to say, with the game only being a little over half a year old (from ARR launch) and already be receiving 2 major updates with expansive content additions that have done nothing but improve and add to the game, this is incredible. If SE is able to keep up this kind of uptake, I am sure to keep playing this game for a good long while. Every other MMO I have ever played takes upwards to a year before they do any major updating to their game, which quite frankly is too long of a wait unless of course the game itself already had content that was going to keep you more than busy that whole year.

The only mmorpg that launched with that kind of content that I have played was FFXI (NA launch). It wasn't a big deal waiting a year for an expansion in that game because you'd be busy that whole year just leveling and doing story/mission quests.

Hey just doing the right thing. They catch so much flak because, you know, an infant stage MMO is supposed to have like three expansions worth of content lol. Not really and it is not a stab at anyone. I understand the desire for more content but to believe you will have two to three years worth of content is unrealistic. I felt the man running the show and the guys and gals who make his visions real deserve some thanks and respect for once, at least, instead of "you're not going fast enough!". But I appreciate the thank you for the topic nonetheless

Yeah, they have to keep in mind that people who are actually still very engaged (absolute majority) spend their time in game and not here making threads about what is lacking. So threads like THIS one are very important to stop the insane amount of hate and negativity that is going towards them every day they spend working to make this game even better for us.

agreed 100%. The game might not be for everyone but for the most part SE is doing a good job of continuously improving the game. For this I am excited and very thankful.

They can have my thanks when April gets here and I finally have my fat chocobo.

Will wark for food indeed.
