I just literally started doing ifrit hm. Only took me a few rounds to figure it out. Yet in my failed PUG's I'm always one of the last few standing. Literally only been doing it for 2 days now.
I've 6/10 on ifrit HM. All those fail groups, someone did an abandon duty vote after the 2nd wipe, we always ended with that.
Maybe I just learn faster than others idk. One group apparently one of the healers did not even heal. Another group someone LBed b4 the nail phase. Peaple tend to get hit by ifrit when he zooms across the arena, easily avoidable...
It seriously only took me a few runs to figure him out. Wonder how long its gona take me to get my weapon from him...
Would run with my FC, but not many people log in nowadays, plus the ones that are on, have progressed past all the HM, and are just doing coil.
Peaple still bad with ifrit hm...

You really need a PLD OT just on stun duty to stop eruptions not plumes, my 1st try thru DF no one knew to stun just eruptions 2 time had good party before using DF to fill.

Joined a PF that was 1 tank 2 healers 5 DPS, 3 BLM 1 SMN 1 BRD. The fight took like 15 minutes because both healers died, BRD died after using LB3 to get people up (people died again after), SMN died trying to raise a healer (who died shortly after getting said raise). It was me (one of the BLM) and the other 2 BLM spamming Physick and DPSing as much as we could while the WAR tank held down Ifrit. We won but kinda annoyed how 2 bad healers got carried without learning their mistakes

No you don't.... You can avoid almost every move. You certainly can avoid eruptions. You dont NEED any kind of stun. Just dodge....

What I am genuinely wondering is why you are putting so much effort in getting in Ifrit weapon while the rest of your Black mage gear shows that you are more than ready to advance to a relic weapon.
I'd say it is almost less effort (and headache) to gather some gil, snatch an i70 weapon from the Marketboards and put some effort into getting yourself through all 3 HM primals.
Heck, you could more than likely do it with your current setup.
With all your DoW and DoM at 50, who's gonna argue that you're not getting a weapon for a second or third job. -

Most guides up still say to stun all the eruptions, so people assume that is still the case and don't realize they have to dodge them now. So much false blame for eruptions going off is tossed around in this fight now, especially in DF, it's stupid. People blame the stunner for not stunning them all, and the stunner blames people for using stun because they're getting resists.
With the last major patch, only 3 eruptions can be stunned before you have to wait a full 60 seconds before stunning any more. So basically, stun smarter. Be selective about which eruptions to stun, such as stunning the one that happens right before the arena-wide plumes and don't bother stunning the one that happens before his charge. For everyone else, be prepared to avoid the eruptions that aren't the must stun ones. -

If you need help with Ifrit Hm perhaps you may join our LS. we have lots of members on Leviathan. Myself i am on my 2nd Relic (blm) so should be doing Ifrit soon if you wanted to join up.
It is true as well about stunning
PS i have done 70+ runs @ Ifrit HM as Bard and never seen the bow drop once. So hopefully not the case for you -
