A realistic approach to addressing the issue of the appearance of Egis

Ok, quick suggestion that might appease those who say that Primals would be too big (even though they can be scaled down like in FFXI) and Yoshi-P who says that Avatars didn't look powerful in FFXI because if there were multiple Summoners in the same area with the same avatar out then they didn't look very impressive (though I fail to see how making Egis look like candy and corn fixes this) and doesn't require a huge rework of the job.

How about when a Summoner uses Enkindle (which is on a 300 second timer) then the Egi temporarily takes on the appearance of a shrines down primal? Still not quite what we want in terms of gameplay style/thematics but it's a start and wouldnt take that much work and Enkindle would feel more powerful, like how the signature move should be.

I would have found it much more entertaining in general if "Summoners" worked like FFTA Morphers and used primal souls. Then they could have flash animations that appeared like primal faces and such. (Like use ifrit's flame breath).

The enkindle idea has been tossed around a million times though. I don't think it is worth while considering the enkindle skills aren't that flashy IMO anyways.

The best suggestion I've seen for this "problem" is to make it so that to you your summon looks impressively huge and to everyone else they remains small and unobtrusive and don't block-out their entire screen.

They ruined the SMN job anyway personnally even if it was my main during 6 years on XI I try to ignore it >.< RIP SMN

So you liked SMN as a glorified backup healer? Egi's are fine how they are. Even scaled down Primal models would look ridiculous simply due to the style of the models. They would have had to design the Primals differently to make them look OK following a SMN around. They would look more like Primal Minions than powerful Primals.

Doesn't have anything to do with size IMHO. There's people with mounts the size of houses already. Larger summons would make people hate you in instances though.

I like SMN because they can do rezzing, saving the healer a bit of juice. Though, I thought i heard somewhere they might change something about egi appearances at some point. Don't ask for a link for the info, I saw it somewhere back in 2013 and it could be bogus anyway.

Summons should be player-sized, and be all mascotty, with oversized heads and they should attack with t-shirt guns.

Ifrit and Garcia just need Feet. and Titan needs to be Stretched slightly Vertically.

This would make them look 100x better.

I would prefer the option to change all my models to carbuncle. I'm not fond of the floating egis.

Yea, I was kind of salty that they just over wrote my Summon ability with Ifrit, Garcia and Titan. And left me no way to summon Carby without gimping myself back to ACN

I would like to use carbuncle instead of floating egis... they look ugly.
