Leatherworker's final tool name translates into something vulgar

Just wanted to let the FF staff members know that the leatherworker's final tool, Pinga, has a very vulgar translation. In spanish, that is one of the most vulgar ways to refer to a man's "manhood".

Personally, im not offended or anything by this. It actually cracks me up. But I figured that you, the staff, would appreciate being made aware of this :)

Is the Pinga thick, long, black, and hanging to the right? Does it offer CP +13?

Watch that. It is an inevitability that certain words might be spelled or sound similar to other words in other languages and those words might be vulgar.

You can't worry about these things unless it's the Spanish localization. There are just too many languages in the world.

There's also the car called the "Nova" after the death of a star (?) and the movie "Laputa, the castle in the sky".

as much as it sound amusing for spanish, sadly you need to hit the truth that is not derived from spanish word at all.

"The Final Tool" sounds much more proper... ahem

Lv. 50 miner tool obtained once you complete Canyon of Regret is called Mammon, similar to Spanish word Mamón, an insult which roughly translates into 'sucker'.
Also, there is an NPC on FFXI called Quemaricond, sounding "¡Qué maricón!" in Spanish, which translates into 'What a faggot!"...
I'm pretty sure there are more examples and somehow is funny to find them eventually. Kinda.

Everything means something in another language out there. Not much to pay attention to.

In some hispanic countries Pinga is used as an simple term to adress manhood think it in vein like weewee n the like, its really not that vulgar as you are pointing it out to be. In some countries like Mexico , Pingo/Pingas is use as to say little rascals. there is even a show called Entre pingos y pingas. Pinga is also used in some hispanic places to refer to as a part of a toy. So no its not used as you think it would be by all spanish speakers. Its meaning does change depending on the location. Also the word as stated by a few has other meanings in different languages. So no i dont think SE went on naming this tool as reference to something Vulgar.

Also there are way worst ways to call your manhood something extremely vulgar in spanish. Pinga is more a reference in some places may use to teach their children what their manhood is.

Just a quick thing about the bolded bit... It's, well, nonsense. Nova is as much a word in Spanish as it is in English. the truth about the Chevy Nova in Spanish-speaking markets
