Vote-Kick system suggestion

This was just a idea I had awhile back, and a GM suggested I post it to the forums..so, here I am

I am sure people have had that 1 person in a party, that just...erks ya. Be it someone intentionally trolling, griefing, harassing....ya get the idea.

The current issue with the system, is that it allows a player, to the same instance they were kicked from. Heck, at worst I had a CT-run, where the OT sat out..every fight up to King Behe, and everyone in the party exhausted their kicks, yet he kept entering the same Raid-instance.

I know it is probably easier said than done..but their needs to be a system in place, that blocks out the instance that a person was kicked from. This helps the players, as the person who was causing the trouble, can't return to the party and possibly cause more.
And in the instances where it is a wrongfull kick, it could also aid the person, as they wouldn't have to worry about returning to the same party, only to be kicked again or further harassed.

This is a good suggestion. I hope they implement something like this in the future.

One of the problems is the role of the player being kicked. Many times it feels like there are less than 10 tanks online so when you replenish ranks, the person you just kicked might be the only one able to replenish the role.

Even if this was true, the issue would still remain if the tank was intentionally trolling/griefing(although some say they are one and the same). I don't care how few tanks may be online, but I do not want to keep one, who is intentionally doing nothing, or just being a prick in general. So yes, a Kick does help..until they turn around, and in-progress que for the same DF, and end up back with you.
We need SOMETHING to prevent this from happening. I don't care if they instantly pop into the same dungeon..as long as it isn't the exact same instance

I might also note, this feature is for ALL rolls, not just Tank.

I said it earlier but I guess I have to expand on it. What if your troll is the only "role" you just kicked that joins an in-progress duty. What is your suggestion then? Just 3/7-man it? There isn't much that the devs can do to prevent trolling other than try to prevent a troll's future ability to troll with banning/temporary suspension. If you're going to say "something" needs to be done, be ready with a suggestion or alternative at least.

Or what if you are the Troll, and you vote kick some one that is doing nothing wrong. Goes both ways i guess.

Then that person is lucky and won't get rolled back into the dungeon with the trolls who kicked them with this suggestion. I've heard this suggestion a few times now. The problem is it may not be feasible. The most obvious countermeasure here is to impose the 30 min lockout to vote kicked people. This unfortunately would have an adverse effect on people who get trolled.

Well, your also in a sense, defending them. If someone is intentionally being a troll/griefer, it doesn't matter their role, their is no excuse for it..at all. If the party is willing to move on with 1 less healer, DPS, or tank, and they give forth the effort? yes, I would 3/7 man it. Heck I had a Copperbell HM, where I had to use Titan Egi until we found a tank who wasn't being a prude...worked out well enough.
The idea I was pitching, would not lock them out of doing any other say..Copperbell runs, they just could not return to that same party. They could join in-progress if they want, and get another party, but they would not be given that same group.
Each party in a dungeon is their own instance, that is what I was reffering to them being locked out of.

And to Lithera, I do admit, it may not be feasible, and could be prone to being buggy as hell without thorough testing..but something is better than nothing..sometimes, isn't it?

The development team is aware that when removing party members with the vote dismiss feature there are some occasions where that same person will fill the empty party spot when you are searching for new members. They will be carefully looking into how to address this.

can you make so the vote-kick system ACTUALLY works?

lols when a persons connection is going out. and they don't time-out properly. you can hit vote-kick and the game SAYS Player Dismissed. i have literally kicked a player from the dungeon multiple times. and still finished the dungeon with that same player after they have came back online.

is silly xD or maybe i am missing something?

The easiest solution would probably be to give them a penalty like what happens when you quit a dungeon midway, but at the same time there are people that abuse the vote kick system (kicking people in CT due to possible loot competition) so it might not be the most fair way to go about it. It seems like it'd be harder to track individual instance IDs of where someone was kicked though and putting in code to make sure they join an in-progress run of anything BUT that instance ID, but I'm not a programmer so I don't really know.

I had a guildhest where this issue came up. A bard started in with us and and after a couple minutes we realized he was afk at the start. So we waited for the 5 minute mark and kicked him. Seconds later a replacement shows up and it was the same guy who once again stayed at the start without moving. We kicked him again and decided to 3-man it rather than carry that loser through.

I want this.
I cannot begin to explain how some people act when doing dungeons. Also might allow us to cut down on the few bots that are in the game. Vote-kicking people who simply do not follow orders or who simply do not communicate with the team would help immensely while training classes :/
