This game getting not nice to play anymore

High lvls need do random dungeons for tombstones. This crashing together very experience ppl who want to do dungeon in minutes with less experienced people who are new and learning.

This is resulting in abuse, bad atmoshphere and not more than often the high level quitting and everyone wasted time.

I had to report one person for using "F* word abusively.

Idk how to fix this. But it makes me want to quit game.

I agree to this, I just finished the main plot and didn't enjoy the ending at all, especially the 2 last dungeons. If I wanted to see the cutscenes, everyone else just beat the dungeon on their own and I missed on the fun. If I skipped the cutscenes, I could partake on the action, but missed the story of what's going on completely.

I'd suggest the adition of 2 types of queues: 1 for people that just want to beat raids fast, and one for people that want to enjoy them or simply don't care for newbies who watch cutscenes. Either that, or while someone is in a cutscene freeze everyone else in place, like during the beginning cutscene.

I really had an awesome game ruined to me, and seems like many others have had the same experience. I'd like to see no one else have to deal with this.

I think the duty finder should be "more intelligent". It should have a handicap system where detects experience in that dungeon of every player.
Or it could even be an option like party finder where you specify the kind of run you are expecting.

This will make the q time even longer.

I believe it's not the issue of high level, but impatience and attitude. High level players should aim for myth tomes (i90), which come from high level roulette, which cannot be really speeded-up. Low and main story roulette gives only gil and phyl tomes - both are quite useless, why impatient people que there i cannot understand - they are pretty much wasting time just by being there, no reason to be impatient. Well not fully useless - main story roulette = 1k gil + 9.5k gil worth materials (phyl tomes), and gil can probably be used to buy something too (but i haven't yet found what).
During my first main story runs i watched every cut scene - people didn't wait for me and went ahead, but i did those fights in the later roulette runs, and i do not regret watching them during the run - they were just great. The only frustrating thing was the team chat - i was doing the main game battle and discovering a large part of story, while some impatient dps were telling they need those tomes sooner.
So far my worst main story run was with a guy and his friend, who kept chatting between themselves on a totally unrelated to the game topics in the team chat during the whole run. It was even worse than those filler text quests and completely broke the immersion and role playing part.

The best suggestion I can give is to make a Party Finder group for these instead of roulette. Its really the only way to make sure to get a group that will let you all progress a certain way.

Most groups I see will wait for people to watch cut scenes. Of course there are those who just want to rush as well. Just drop and re-queue if you get a pushy group. Are you in an FC? Ask some of them to join you.

And then you have the experienced players showing the new players around how to effectively improve their game without being bossy about it. I had a new tank last night in Toto-rak who doesn' know he has to do class quest to get tomahawk or how to watch aggro and stuffs. Guess what I did? Show them around and explain slowly instead of complaining. High level players should just take a chill pill and teach new players how to play instead of complaining and bitching about it.

It all depends on the day, yes this exists but 90% of the time this doesnt happen (On Cerberus anyway)

Listen to me OP, when i do my roulette with 3 new guys, i'm full allagan armor. I talk to them, i do myself the good ambiance, and i ask them did you know this and this ? I try to give them some tips and their dps cycle too, i ask them if i do big pack or not, if they want to try or not, i ask them what to do, and when they do good job i tell them, everyone is happy till the end and i often get the 3 honor to the end. I feel like a good leader who don't push them so fast, but they learn with fun. I prefer waste 5 minut in explanation, than do a dungeon with no word and speed run. I often hear some of my friend fail their dungeon because of new people, but i'm sure and i tell them, they don't help too, yes the new will be less powerfull than a awesome full allagan boy, but if you learn them what to do, all will be fine, i have already see full ilvl 90 fail, because the skill count, if you evade nothing, you will die. Well for finish i will say i have never encounter any problem in a dungeon, if you are cool, people will be cool back. If you are rude and tell them "hey you suck noob, i have done a pack with 35 monster and i am dead bla bla" sure you will be kicked or they will be demotivate and play less good. If they will motivate by you, they will be happy.

The problem really isn't with people wanting to speed run dungeons. It's with the majority of people who have no patience and to some degree the game mechanics itself.

This is what I think when ever I look at the Party Finder. The only thing I see are rude comments saying things like 'Kicking people who suck' or 'First timers GTFO'. :(

About cutscenes: Praetorium and Castrum Meridianum have very very long cutscenes,. When I did them for first time, I had read a guide that recommended skipping them and seeing them at the inn later. You can watch anything at the inn later. It's a long time since I have not gone back there, but when i did, exp people helped a lot, making their lives easier is not that hard, watch scenes at the inn.
Most people are nice, the rude few people are very apparent and seem to be more than they are.

Yesterday I had my first real bad experience in the dungeon. Got Copperbell HM. Right off the bat the tank was giving me a hard time because apparently I wasn't using my "abilities" and didn't elaborate what he meant by that. He had me vote kicked before we even got off the elevator... This upset me because I didn't have time to cued up again and try again before it was time for church.... But after church I cued up, got Wanderer's Palace, and we kicked some serious Tonberry Booty, clearing that dungeon quickly.

As I see it, it's putting your own enjoyment as more important than the other 7 players. Dungeons are a team game and the other people's interests are also very important. Deciding what to do beforehand could be a solution. People wouldn't do the Story Roulette if every time they had to wait 30 minutes because somebody wants to see the scenes. These people help the new ones survive and advance on the story line. It has gotten much easier since the Roulette and exp players go there for the tomes. Seeing guides also diminishes the enjoyment, but a new player who has not seen a guide will make the experience worse for the others, especially if he is a tank.

Don't you just love it when people say that =/ Sorry you had to deal with that. I am a bard as well and it amazes me that he would so quickly judge you and boot you. I did take a look at your profile, and I noticed that you have not leveled your lancer or your pugilist beyond 3 and 15 respectively. You'd have maybe some ground to stand on IF the story wasn't part of the game. But it is. So when you ask a new player to skip their CS's (to convenience you btw), you are asking them to specifically skip a key part of the game...which was designed and developed to be enjoyed at that moment. Not 3 hours later in their in room. This isn't a 'screw you I wanna watch my stories' thing. The devs intended on everyone watching the CS's. Choosing to skip them is like Speed Running, you are more than welcome to do it, but it's not how that instance was designed to be played.

Therefore, it's the people who want to skip (or speed) who should be duty findering...NOT the people 'queueing and playing as intended' Every single time you queue for ANYTHING in game you should expect:
1. People watch CS's.
2. At least one new player
3. At least one undergeared player
4. No Speed runs.

And then, on the rare occasion where these things don't happen, thank your lucky starts and 'speed' to victory....but don't ruin the game for new people. You should treat randoms in game the same way you'd treat a LS mate of FC buddy...and you'd let THEM watch their first-timer CS's.


You don't HAVE to do the Main Scenario quests more than once...as a matter of fact, I'm a little confused why people bother. (you can more efficiently farm certain level 50 dungeons for the same amount or more Philo tomes in roughly the same amount of time...OH, AND philo tomes and the items they craft are dirt cheap/plain old obsolete if you aren't actively running BC and can spend 2-3 weeks farming myth (not a Main Scenario reward) and CT (for CT gear).


I mean geez, BC+CT+High level roulettes+ random in game stuff each week= I have to 'dump' Philo tomes 1-3 times a week. (IE by random tome mats and re-sell on wards or stock up the FC chest with). I haven't needed an 'tome' item in ages. And most new players can basically skip the 'tome' phase if they can farm Myth in their AF/level 50 dungeon drops for 1-3 weeks+run CT.

What I mean:
Newly ranked level 50
-can earn 450 Myth Tomes each week by farming both CT and 'easier' level 50 dungeons like WP.
-Will also net 1-1.5K Philo tomes a week easy by doing this farming
-can also unlock 'A relic' reborn once main story is cleared

Week 1.
-Save first 900 Philo tomes for 'relic key item' (can buy and hang onto if easier)
-Sit on first 450 Myth tomes
-Earn a CT piece for your Job (ideally aim for body or legs first as they are the most 'costly' in tomes)
-Get up to at least Chimera on relic (if you started quest this week)

Week 2.
-Spend the 1000ish Philo tomes you should now be sitting on on some gear upgrades if you desire (I'd probably suggest accessories since body pieces are easy to get in CT/Myth)
-Spend your first 495 of myth on your Head/Hands or Feet
-Get another CT drop (whatever you don't have in myth/CT from last week)
-Be to at least the Hydra Battle (consider farming Ifrit/Garuda for a weapon for your class...but not necessary if you have Grand Company weapon)

Week 3
-Again, you will naturally earn 1000ish Philo tomes doing your weekly thing. Spend them on accessories/consider buying some mats to make gil
-You should have at least 405 Myth left from the previous week (this is assuming you never earned a single myth tome throughout the game until you hit level 50...which is unlikely) Earning another 450, puts you just shy of 900 (855) Sit on these
-Farm CT, get a piece for your job
-Finish A relic reborn (get Relic)

So by the end of 3 weeks, just doing normal 'endgame farming' (but not doing BC) you will potentially have
-A Relic Weapon (ilvl 80)
-A Myth Head (Ilvl 90)(or feet or hands...but using head in my example)
-A CT body (ilvl 80)
-A dungeon belt (ilvl 55)
-A CT hands (ilvl 80)
-A CT legs (ilvl 80)
-Dungeon or AF legs (ilvl 50-55ish)
-Also, you will have full or close to full Darklight accessories if you opted for them (or astral if you had them crafted) (Ilvl 70 accessories)

By your 4th week out, you'd have a +1 relic (Ilvl 90 weapon) and Your last AF slot filled with CT gear....and more than enough gear to start farming Binding Coil.

So again, WHY do you need to farm Philo tomes? Because seriously, unless you are trying to jump into BC your first week after hitting level 50 (or trying to quickly gear multiple jobs at the same time...which a rare 'newly level 50 problem), there is no need. Especially when you factor in most 'newly minted level 50's' still have alt classes to level, sidequests to finish, dungeons to unlock and all of patch 2.1 content to still do.

And in less than a month, BC T1-5 becomes 'farmable' and I believe Myth cap is raised as well, making it easier to gain ilvl90 gear.

So even if you have the time to farm storyline for Philo tomes...you could better spend your in-game time doing basically anything else. Who wants to spend all that time getting gear you literally will only use 1-2 weeks? Why?

And if you do it for gil, well, you missed that boat by about 5 months.

The only reason I could see for skipping CS, is getting praetorium with a mostly new group, the first time I ran that (all server made party) we didn't have enough time to kill Ultima if we didn't skip that last few, but we had all agreed on that. Really its just Praetorium with its long ass cutscenes. If you cut that out its a much shorter dungeon. But why are people doing Storymode roulette? I understand needing philo for two star mats, which I do CT for, which does suck cause CT is suck incarnate due to people, but it just gets you so much philo with also giving you 50 myth every time. You do coil 1-4 and then some CTs to cap. If you're patient, then do Main story roulette, impatient people should go to the desperation pit that is CT and suffer through the mess they made with this community lol.

It's sad how the community is, pathetic really.
I always allow people to go at their own pace, if they want to watch cut-scenes it doesn't bother me, they have every right to do so.
But I guess people with patience is a rare thing nowadays.

There is a certain amount of social responsibility that everyone shares, but there is also the fact that the gear and tomes are all we have left after a while. The content becomes old and people just want the gear. The system does encourage the kind of rage and anguish that is being vented on these forums. Heck, I used to be rather constructive, but now I have trouble doing that.

I'll be honest, I don't understand the logic behind "I always allow people to go at their own pace". They don't allow you to go at your own pace, but you don't even seem to mind. This is double sided sword, everybody can call the rest of the World selfish for not taking their opinion into account.

@Kinseykinz : why "older" players are farming philos ? But you gave the answer ! To stuff multiple jobs. Example : I stuffed 4 chars (2 tanks and 2 healers) and for some reasons I have to fight Twin with a DPS next week. Or to sell the components if you don't have any craft/gatherer.

Honestly, the majority of the cutscenes aren't even that long. Not skipping them is really not that much of a time suck on speed runners. Except at the end of the Praetorium, I'll grant people that one.

Plus, people are even impatient to others who take a little too long to skip the cutscenes. Like, I play on a PS3, I'm sorry that the game has loading times between cutscenes, but it does. When I almost get locked out of the Gaius fight (or the Livia fight) on my daily Main Scenario roulette with a speed run group even when I'm skipping cutscenes because my PS3 is taking time to reload the zone? Something is wrong with the group dynamic.

You guys can take like ten seconds to slow down and institute a ready check before pulling a boss, especially at the end of Prae, since it's boss fight after boss fight after boss fight. Hold back, let everyone get settled in. If we've been speed running it already, we have more than enough time to take a minute or so to let everyone be ready.

SEVERAL major factors where missed here. one 300 philos in 30-40min is way faster then the second fastest which is ct in 30-400 mins 200. Secondly Alt class. I have all dl gear purchased for all classes that am/plan on lvling(only missing brd accessories and I have every piece). With the gear restrictions on ct and Binding coil you can only get 2 i80+ piece of armor unless you are super lucky in coil but considering I just got my first piece in over 4 months and I know others in the same situation. so your saying that for no reason other then being lazy someone shouldn't finishing gearing up their job properly since they will replace it 3-10 weeks later? bad player bad. The reason people want you to skip cut-scenes is because its a freaking movie in those dungeons over 30min of cut scenes each. you can clear the dungeon before someone is actually done watching all the cut scenes with a good group. This is called bad dungeon design by SE. if you sit their and watch all the cut scenes you risk not even finishing the dungeon to begin with. Not only that it goes from being the fastest 1 time daily source for quick philos to the slowest. So why would a high lvl join a dungeon that is literally the slowest way to progress? they can and will leave if to many people watch CS because it is literally not worth their time. If you want to be selfish and watch all the poorly planned cut scenes then how can you get mad at others for being selfish and just wanting to actually play the game? its called hypocrisy and everyone in here that bitched about people wanting them to skip, san I think 2 people I read, all had hugely hypocrite thoughts and theory all about being selfish for themselves but mad at other people for caring about 80% of the raid. Then you called others hypocrites. seriously get out of mom and dads house and learn that there is a real world.

You can watch all the cutscenes in your inn room. It's not that big of a deal. You cry about them "ruining your fun" lol. Why don't you stop thinking about yourself for a second and realize that you're wasting 7 other peoples time by sitting there for 10min looking at a cutscene you can watch on your own later.

There is no such feature to skip all cutscenes you've already seen. There's a feature to skip transportation cutscenes you've already seen, but this appears to only apply to the cutscene when taking the airship.

It wasn't my intention to pick on him. I just want him to realize that just as they are making the game less enjoyable for him by "making" him skip cutscenes, he is making it less enjoyable to them by watching them.
