FF Tactics Style Minigame

I think It would be really cool to have some kind of FF Tactics Style System where the Party Members get to choose what to do on their turn, where to stand, and what skill to use, and have a turn based tactics style battle or minigame. :cool:

nah, SE should change whole ARR combat to turn and grid based!

At this point ill take any mini-game. Be it Tactics, Cards, or Pong ... just DO IT ALREADY!:mad:

yes please! let you have a team of a certain amount and level them up,
coop with other players, or challenge your way through a story/challenge
list~~

I'd personally rather them put the effort into making a Final Fantasy Tactics MMO.

I also agree with a card game, I think they said that was going to be coming? I think it would be really cool to have a grid style, or Fort Condor style minigame, but using party members. :P Could have some fun with your friends instead of being a solo player minigame. :D

Lol. Every time you select an action you have to wait for 5000 other players to select theirs before the next turn commences!

There are a couple of games out there that have tried the whole turn based MMO stuff.

Wakfu was something that they tried out but then pushed to another company (I think) so they aren't really touching it. Turn based MMO on how it could work.

Atlantica, which was a game on steam, made you have your own party to control while in an MMO setting, but isn't exactly turn based like FFT was.

There are options out there to show that they're feasible. Now, would the FF IP make the game more successful than the two others? Maybe. I would love to see them try it. FFT was one of my favorite MMOs and if Wakfu was their test drive, FFT should be feasible to be done with a few tweaks.

Wakfu is developped by a French company (Ankama), and is supposed to follow the story of Dofus, their 1st mmo. Both are turn based and consist only in a dungeon grind to the level 200, with some PvP throwed in and a really childish community. Every day i am asking me: Why i still play A Realm Reborn?

I am practically only crafting, open PvE guildleves on low level battle clases, farm/gathering materials for crafting (All crafts and gathers lvl 50)

- Maybe becuse of my invested effort to reach all craftings and gathering clases to 50s...?

becuse of latency problem i am traumatized to go to dungeons with my lvl 50 WHM ...

If Coming Turn Based Mode to FF XIV i can feel finally like in FFMMO...

KalSki, that was the initial discussion in our FC which got me to make this post. We were discussing Atlantica, and then Tactics got brought up, and then talk about an awesome minigame from there ensued. :D
