What is going to be your Glamour go-to?

I was just over at the Tank board, and saw they had this topic over there, so I wanted to bring it here for my healing friends!

What are you going to be rocking on your Scholars and White Mages?

Myself, I spent about 3 weeks straight grinding out Brayflox specifically to get the full Battle Mage set for the vanity system, and I have no regrets!

Well, again maybe not. SCH I'll stick with CT, I don't like the AF at all, probably the only job I don't like the AF of that and how intense the yellow on MNK AF+1 is. WHM will get the AF+1, because I like it classic.

Honestly, I love the Miqote starting gear, I'll probably just wear that forever now

At the moment, I only know that I am wearing the Valentione's Day striped socks. :) Haven't found a full outfit.

Hmmm, well glasses/spectacles/monocle for the head. I've been wearing the Blessed Gown a lot to run around in, so maybe that for the body? If I ever got the coliseum legs, then maybe that too

Swim Suit healing gooooooooooo!

Full vanya and rose-gold, except for the hat which I'm going to glamour with a pretty, pretty tiara so I can be the prettiest healing princess.

I did briefly wonder if it was going to be worth grinding PvP until I could get the dyeable version of the Battle Mage set, though.

WHM AF1 for the same reasons for my PLD and WAR - I hate end game gear's appearances and I'm quite happy with the original AF set appearance wise.

Um... Coliseum... probably... >.>

I love my Glacial Coat! Couple that with the Valentione shoes (I like the platform look), and the crafter bottoms that look like a skirt and stockings with garters. Aww yeah :)

I don't know about armour (probably AF) but if I can overlay wands onto Thyrus, I'm going with Mogwand and if not, Alkalurops. I really hope they let 1 hand and 2 hand work on each other.

For WHM... I like the AF1.5 set, so not sure if I'll vanity it up (assuming the vanity system works as people think it will). If I do, it will probably with battlemage stuff (which I don't have lol). Not a huge fan of the robes in the game.

My PLD will probably be AF1, CT, and/or my "Onion Knight" vanity set I wear around sometimes (onion helm from 1.0 CE :D), and Bard will be AF1 or Foestriker. Will be Foestriker on my alt's DRG and coliseum for her WHM =p

Full CT with the 100 Commendations Pope Hat. It all matches perfectly with the WHM +1 and I will then insist everyone in my FC refer to me as "your Holiness." :D

if they let us use non class-specific items for our vanity slots --> full ODIN (something about having a super dark and menacing figure with those giant demonic horns suddenly just running around with a cute little fairy and a shiny book strikes me as 100% hilarious)

if it has to be class specific (sch) --> myth legs and feet, allagan everything else.

For my main, this is what I wore while running around for the Little Ladies event. Chances are I'd fix myself a vanity getup like it :p
Note: Mine's the guy. My friend started it off by posing as a captainesque figure, so I had to give her a first mate, no? XD (That's what friends are for, after all ^.^)

...and whatever accessories I might fancy at the moment. They're less important to me XD Possibly including some sort of head scarf (and having it visible) to complete the set.

When I saw the title...my first thought was the battle mage set. I still haven't seen the body piece yet though, even in duty roulette.

I hope they will give us a dyeable acolyte's robe too. Also a dyeable battlemage would be much appreciated. As far as WHM is concerned, I'd keep the gear you obtain through lvl45 and lvl50 job quests.

Vaguely related, is there anywhere that shows all of the gear in the game and what it looks like on actual characters (preferably female Mi'qote)? I'd like to start planning my glamours.

My vanity is totally a scantily-clad warrior princess feel. Coliseum top, AF Bottoms, Gloves, and Boots. I like all healer head pieces so I'm not sure which one I'd set at main. Hopefully I will be able to dye the coliseum top white to be all matchy-match :)

I like the CT healing gear, so probably that.

I am probably going to put actual pants or a skirt at least on my white mage. I know it's best in slot for DET stackers, but those cleric culottes do not fit with the allagan robe. I might grab something from the AF2 set, depending on how it looks as well.

Whatever new gear at higher ilvl will be my vanity. If the next mnk and smn set is what they showed in a previous live letter then it'll def be my vanity. If healer get to wear the white ascian robes then ill be wearing that as well.

For my white mage, I'll probably stick with the ilvl 90 Cleric gear. For scholar, I prefer the Royal set from CT.

BTW, what is the Blessed set you guys are talking about?

Oh ok, thanks for the link. It's ok, but I find some of the other sets a lot more pleasing. I'm really excited to see the new AF2 sets for White Mage and Scholar. Based on the artist pics online for Dragoon, Monk, Summoner, etc. they all look pretty amazing.

For my White Mage I'll either be keeping him how he is now with a Vanya Robe of Healing dyed Storm Blue. I might grab a matching Hat for him too as the Vanya stuff looks awesome and old school magey.

Failing that, my full Battlemage's set, but I can see A LOT of people going for this one, purely because of how awesome it looks.

It's fun seeing everyone plan out their wardrobes in anticipation for patch 2.2. I think I need to take a lesson from you all and start finding the perfect combinations of cool clothing. :p

With Glamours on the horizon, you can bet we'll be adding more and more cosmetic equipment into the game, and below is message from lead designer Takeo Suzuki about some new gear that's on the way!

The character team created these glasses for patch 2.2.
Be sure to add them to your collection once they are implemented. :)

With your amethystine complexion, you would need to consider your colour palette carefully. I would recommend lighter shades of purple and greyish purple, if you want a subtle, handsome look. But if you're feeling all out there, like you want the world to look at you like you're a giant burning meteorite, I would suggest a bright yellow or green palette, to create that "wow" factor.
