There was a B Alliance group that seemed to consist of folks who knew each other, and who kept causing the raid to wipe by pulling and then running out of the boundaries, jumping off the platforms during Atomos, or purposely tanking the Vassagos into other groups.
Plus a ton of harassment in alliance chat, and constant ready checks, removal of markers, etc
No one could kick them since the rest of the Duty Finder folk were in different parties. Apparently you have to be in the same Alliance to vote dismiss someone, which is a design loophole they exploited to grief the raid.
We filed reports but got the generic response back. 50 minutes later and they still harassing us.
Square, you guys need to add a feature to kick a whole group of Alliance out, or somehow let us kick people who are in different Alliances. Duty Finder seems to attract a lot of trolls.

Now, that's an unfortunate issue, and while I imagine everyone wishes more incisive investigation from the GMs, this "request" is a tad on the non-reasonable side of the spectrum. It can be exploitable just as regular kicks are being right now - from both sides.
But you kind of destroyed your cause. -

Yeah cotti makes a very good point that such a feature would be abused as well, its sad to see that happen, but one thing is instead of sticking around and putting up with that kind of harassment what you should have done is dropped the party right then and there instead of suffering for 50mins of abuse...it woulda been much faster to take your time out and then re-queue.

It's a a half hour wait penalty.And it doesn't change the fact that people were leaving, and getting pulled into the duty to get wiped by these clowns. It was a never ending cycle of new folk coming in to get slaughtered.

Just needs the ability to kick players across alliances. If there's one alliance being a pain, punt the offending users with cross-alliance kick votes -- 16/24 is more than enough to pass a vote even if all the members of the alliance are trolls.

While I'd like to see a way to deal with troll parties, my concern is that there would be a lot of collateral damage. People already get kicked for plenty of stupid reasons, so imagine one party wiping at Atomos - maybe because of one person - and then the other two parties vote them out. That's one troll and 7 innocents kicked.

Can't have nothing nice anymore in the MMO world. First time I went into CT - I was like...OH!! I was a little grumpy about how they didn't put it in to begin with at launch but I had such a great time in the first weeks of the raid. Now? Its been made a farce by players more often than not.
Seriously - I'd just like to play a game where MOST of the people there are ACTUALLY THERE BECAUSE THEY WANT TO PLAY CONTENT rather than because they have nothing better to do for the next 14 minutes so they want to screw with everyone else. And no that is not just some teeny-weeny percentage of the base. It is not covered by some 'there will always be a few aholes' generic excuse statement.
I know, I know its the internetz. Heh. Maybe I should enjoy my rose-colored glasses more often. You're wrong, I'm telling you...those really WERE the days. Glad I got in at the beginning and had time to enjoy it. If all I had started in 2012 -- I'd look at the vets longingly wondering what it was like back in the days of FUN, COMPETITION, TEAMWORK, and WONDER at all the CONTENT.
Only saving grace literally is if you have friends/and/or a good FC. Mine is awesome though small; can't imagine being able to enjoy myself without that social fun.
***And all the posts we put here about how there is no economy, how a little inflation might be good at this point, all the 'suggestions' on how to boost the economy: just stop. SE has the exact economy they designed and currently want. If you like to be self-sufficient, you can...you earn a LITTLE BIT OF COIN for vendoring/npc purchases etc ---- its just like inside a CONSOLE game. Take any off your shelf - look at the way any currency in it is used by the single player. Now compare that to the current reality in FFXIV ARR.

The problem is GMs need to be much quicker because days later we can not prove what happened, best is to have a GM instant looking into the issue and not days later!

I just had another troll premade Alliance cause a group to abandon.
At the King Behemoth encounter they were purposely hiding the comets behind the towers and destroying the other comets, and taunted people in Alliance chat telling them to find the "secret comet". They caused enough people to give up and abandon the whole thing -- at King Behemoth!
Particularly frustrating for me because the drops I need are only given by KB and Acheron.
And I've reported at least 3 troll premade groups today. It's seriously frustrating to be dealing with this crap. In any other game there is a way to get rid of troll groups in raids, why the hell can't we vote out other Alliances?
Developers, this needs to be a bigger priority. Right now I don't even want to play. -

Whatever measures they introduce, some of the players in this community will abuse them in the one or other way. They will always find a way to bybass whatever system SE puts in place. We had vote kick which got abused for loot lockouts or smallest problems. We got the ready check who turns out more and more to be a nightmare in CT because it is not used as intended but more for serious trolling.
Bottom line for me is, the only thing that would really help me with CT runs is the ability to go there with 24 people from my own FC. Even if we only get 2 alliances together it lowers chances that the rest of the players will ruin our run. -

Really, it only keeps happening because players know they can get away with it. The only way to fix this in any capacity is to have GMs actually caring about harassment- although votekick/abandon/ready check system that weren't designed in a completely brain-dead fashion would be pretty helpful.
