This is a very exciting time to start playing!

I mean, really. From the sounds of things, all the playerbase has gotten up until now have been relatively minor fixes/changes to the game. From the sounds of things, it sounds like things are finally beginning to ramp up and we'll see some of the more major changes take place.

I mean, seriously. Bards. I want to be a Bard, so badly. ; ; I <3 being a buffbot. Looks like I'm leveling an Archer.

All in all, a good time to start playing the game!

I dont know if its a good time to start playing still. Hell with all the stuff planned to be added, including the tutorial for ranks 10 ~ 17 in the near future, i am tempted to start over even. of course with all the gil ive amassed xD

No worries this is actually kinda nice for a change. :P I don't know if it's the best time for new players, I'm telling my friends who are asking if the game is worth coming back to, to wait until the fall. But for fans of the FF series I think it might be good to get a head start.

Even before you said you made the thread by mistake, I was excited to see a happy thread for once on the forums xD. I agree though, from this point on things are gonna start changing drastically, I know I'm excited!

yes I am excited about the good news as well, however I will still keep my expectations low because I have been disappointed too many a time by mediocre patches and promises that have fallen way short of the hype.

I'm also really excited. :D

I'm really looking forward to client optimization as well as server optimization. my CPU is Intel Core Duo 2.13, 4GB, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M. The game in it's current state doesn't really push my system to where it's unstable it's just the lag between client and server that makes it seem that way.

So I picked a good time to start playing~

I have to wonder, with all the changes coming in the next months, would it be possible to say that the early adopters actually played a very different game? The game doesn't feel perfect to me, but it's not really boring (not yet?), compared to all the bad things that were said when the game launched. So if right now is somewhat different...how different would it be in the next 6 months?

And yeah, it's nice to see an optimistic thread around these parts.

I'm optimistic in this game. I just don't want to fix a whole bunch of things that are client side or hardware driven, like right now I have minimal lag in this game just upgrade to a nvidia gt 440, some people have lag due to server TOTALLY UNDERSTANDABLE. but a log of people are like "i have lag" and play on a normal ass HD card that can even run CIV 5 properly. C'mon people.

Man good to see optimism. I am just as excited as you! I see awsome things in this game's future. Although the time I did get to play, hardly even scratched the surface, I've watch alot of youtube videos and I really like how the game looks.
