It's been awhile! Reply to this thread w/ some screenshots of the Housing tricks you have used or have discovered on your server! ^_^

These are all great. It's a pity that the low item limits make most of these difficult to implement without having to leave other rooms empty.

Please refrain from "bumping" threads with simple bump posts, it is against the forum rules and can get this thread locked from what i've seen. ( check fc recruitment threads where ppl bumped it into oblivion )

Have both Leviathan fountains in your yard but think the normal one needs a little more flash? Tuck in a Stone Vigil Torch and set the flame to red or blue!

A Shroud tree intertwined with a Odin statue. Makes the Odin statue look less boring and less out of place.

I sunk an Ahriman Bookshelf into the wall until I hid all the books. Placed Gargoyle statue and Rivieria Desk in front of it. Looks kind of like an altar. :)

What I wanted to show here was the Goobbue Rug tucked into the stair well. It's kind of funny to see this guy's face when heading down the stairs. (Small house)

Shagain living lamp mixed with any table. The parasol will capture the glow pretty well and looks exceptionally nice at night.

Wanting to put something on the Goldsmithing bench?
Just put a table or other furniture piece of comparable fight underneath, then put a lantern or moogle or whatever on top.

Been meaning to throw this up here for a while. Simple combination of summoning bell with a table so that the bell looks like it is sitting on the table (like in a hotel or something).

I took the Diagnostics Module and combined it with the Glade Couch so that it meshes with the Arbor Flooring better. This also allows me to sit on the Diagnostics Module, which is cool. I recently added a Manor Timpani in the middle to serve as a little dais to craft on. I use the table as my preferred crafting spot, and I have never failed an HQ 3-star on it, no lie. Did two HQ Gold Ingots in a row at less than 20% chance on it once. I love that table. <3

I'll be moving up to a large house soon, so I wanted to take some pictures of my old furniture setups before I dismantle it all. *sniff*

Everyone loves the Demon Wall. Everyone hates how it comes with an actual wall around it. After much experimenting, I finally figured out a way to get rid of that big white square...

It involves some complicated shenanigans with the new ability to place wall-mounts on partitions. The demon wall is actually hanging on another partition wall hidden slightly behind the visible partition walls. The game auto-corrects wall-mounts to automatically re-adjust to the foremost wall they are in contact with, so this is not as easy as it seems. The game only registers walls that the majority of the wall-mount is in contact with, so I had to make sure it was in between two walls, with neither wall more than 50% touching it. This leaves a tiny space in between the two walls that I filled with a pillar quite nicely. Took an entire night to get this just right, but hot damn that dumb white slab is gone!

Hello all, sorry to bump an older thread but since there are new housing items now 2.3 is here perhaps some new combos can be found?

Playing around with my personal room I have here what I affectionately refer to as the Hogwarts trunk, new book item "The Five Ages" dragged underneath a Flame Storage Bench. The new half partitions make for a nice room divider.

As a bonus pic here is an idea I wanted to try out a while ago with the older items and never got around to until now. Take an Ash cabinet and sink it slightly into a wall (or full size partition as I've used here for that 'feature wall' feeling!) and line up that Quick Exploration classic the Eorzean Map on the wall behind it for a backdrop.

Plants and floor lamp set on the floor first, then put tables around them for a nice well lit center piece

This one is very simple, it is just a curved stepping stone with a straight stepping stone placed inside. The straight stepping stones are the front toe and centre pad, the curved stepping stone is the two side toes and centre pad.

Although, I think these paws are too big to be mine.

This isn't a furniture combo, but I'd like to show everyone the size of one of the "chess pieces" that goes with the Eorzean Map Table.
Here is the Dragon Piece, which I dyed black, sitting between Ultima and the Magitek (lol).
Way more expensive than it's worth at the moment. >_<

Dummy + Odin = A use for that ugly statue.

Made a secret door into the war room's "office" laying a Demon Wall Sculpture flush with two partitions and removing the partition from the Wall itself. Put a half-partition below it so the Wall didn't have to sit on the floor - if only there was one that matched the non-Riviera partitions.
