Hello, Rokien again, again. I would like to see pointless weapon skills for the mages. Who cares if they are pointless, sometimes I just wanna beat up on something with a stick. Just because it serves no real purpose other than being fun, why not add them back!?! Heck they could even make some silly combos.
Also my second point in making this thread, if you watched the talk deal, they really REALLY wanted to make summoner hit with that book of his. So why not add some special effect(ws) to that hitting.
Pointless or not, just bring em back!~

Imo, melee can combo weapons, mages should be able to combo spells.
E.g.
Cure I -> Cure II -> Cure III
Cure I can proc the free cure I and if you combo with cure II it gets increase potency and lower mp cost and if you combo that with cure III it gets reduced mana cost and increased range.
or
Fire I -> Fire II -> Fire III
When used after Fire I fire II becomes a single target spell with increased potency from Fire I and FireStarter Procs in the middle of that make the combo on Fire III cost nothing (as firestarter does) but incrase potency by 150% for comboing. -

No, it's not pointless to add weapon skills. They'd add damage to players arsenal which changes balance. It is not trivial.
