So I was doing Twintania tonight with a group of well equipped people, all ilvl 85+, and although we got through to twisters fine on second attempt, we began to run into problems on every attempt thereafter. We had tanks getting one-shotted or nearly so with nearly every possible damage reduction buff available to us up on them. We had a paladin take over 5k damage in a single death sentence when he had adloquiem, stoneskin, sacred soil, and ramparts up as well as having the boss debuffed with both virus and eye for an eye. I have never seen that happen pre-patch.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?

We are right now at Turn 5 and we cant manage it anymore...
Problem is phase 2!
First we made Turn 5 pre Patch and we made Fireball "(4 peeps) - Fireball (Conflag) - Fireball (3 peeps)" and it worked with all peeps 4200+ HP.
Now we read that there is a dark nerf on Turn 5 and Conflag should have less HP but we dont see any changes the Conflag have the same HP as pre Patch! Also we now cant do 3 Peeps Fireball anymore cause all get over 4600 HP Damage!
Its nearly impossible for us now to manage it without 2 pets up.
Our Fireball Camp is Off-Tank + Healer + Pet from Healer + Fireball Peep but if the Healer is the Fireball he die for sure and he have 4337 HP!
So what is wrong? Why all say there is a dark nerf on Turn 5 with the Conflag if we dont see any changes? The Conflag drop as fast as before and the only thing we see now is that the Fireball do much more Damage!
PS: Phase 1 the Adds didnt turn around to fire the fireballs! Pre Patch they turned around to caste the fireball and you had time to run out... -

I usually watch the adds so I know if I'm the one that needs to move or not, but now that they do not turn (or at least I don't see it), I am starting to move whenever I see any of them casting anything. It's a tiny bit of a dps loss but nothing too major.Quote:

A hotflix was JUST applied to fix the issues that were accidentally caused by 2.16... so it's possible another hotfix is incoming. -

Just done turn 5 last night, didn't see any difference with death sentence.

I created a thread about 3:4 Fireball composition and it's entirely viable/possible to have two WHM no SMN/SCH.
i90 4,500 HP stoneskins.
You 'can' survive without stoneskin if you're lucky, but stoneskin safely keeps you alive with 10% HP. -

I know there are different ways to get through this fight but i dont know how some people can manage it.
We do 3 Fireball exactly to have more time because we dont see any HP nerf on the conflag also if a damage dealer is in the conflag its way to less DPS there... hmm you say stoneskin help but if our healer buff stoneskin the MT will die for sure cause he have to be perma healed!
Its strange that so many say this fight is easy... i think they are on another fight as we are everytime because the Damage Spikes that the MT get and the fireball damage with the conflag its very hard to manage. We did it pre Patch do manage it but for now we cant do it anymore... i really dont know anymore what to do with my group... -.-
Do someone have a video with that fight after patch 2.16 and the last hotfix? Wanted to know what we do wrong however i think we didnt do anything wrong... less DPS cant be the key because all are very good equiped. All are above ilvl 85.
We do phase 2:
1. Fireball = 4 people (WHM, PLD, Pet + Target)
1. Conflag = running under Twintania
2. Fireball = running into conflag
2. Conflag = running under Twintania
3. Fireball = 3 people (PLD, Pet + Target) (here we die now)
3. Conflag = running under Twintania

Pre Patch we had 2 Pets inside and the Tanks could taunt after deathsentence to avoid beeing killed if healers have trouble. Now we dont have a second pet and we tried the one tank strategie so the OT can stand inside the fireball camp.
And iam sure pre patch we manged the 3 fireball situation without someone dying! The only thing we did maybe was virus on Twintania and OT was a warrior with debuff but now we dont have the warrior and also no summoner... could that the point to fail?
Damn it frustrating me so much to not manage this fight -.- -

My static *FINALLY* got our first Twintania win tonight. To be honest, I didn't notice any sort of change in conflag or snake health (however, no one was parsing specifically... we've never had issues meeting short conflag dps check anyway)... We have always done 4/4 split for fireballs and I did not personally notice a big difference. We use a WAR maintank, which has actually worked well for us with death sentences. I'm wondering... is there any real *documented* source saying the conflag/snake hp has been changed, or is that just hearsay? As far as Twintania one-shotting people... sometimes you can get reaaaaaally unlucky, and that is why damage mitigation abilities are so useful. But, you know, sometimes you can still have problems. An unlucky auto attack following a death sentence can give you real issues. If we were able to beat it and did not notice any huge difference, I don't think there is any new issue... except the scourges not turning around when they cast liquid hell! That's definitely annoying. :P
Here is how we do phase 2 and have always done phase 2:
4 people (whm, OT, 2 dps) on left leg
3 people + one pet (scholar, eos, 2 dps) on right leg
I keep Garuda-Egi far away from the group so she does not mess up ratios.
When fireball is coming: stack up on your group.
When conflag is coming: spread out a tiny bit (so you can see who has it IMMEDIATELY).
3 person fireball is probably survivable (with the right amount of hp), but incredibly risky. You can do it with 4 people on each leg. If you are having trouble with tanks dying, make sure to have your healers trade off eye for an eye, virus.. etc... especially during conflags (as you never know when a healer... or two! might be caught). I'm part of the eye for an eye rotation. -

To be honest, the OT casts his own Stoneskin and Stoneskin the MT during the sentences. Then, the WHM has to cast at most one stoneskin after a fireball and 2 after a conflag.Quote:

Perma Heal during Conflags seems very suspiscious. During Phase 1 I Stonekin all people and whoever gets fireballed at Phase 2 will be restoneskinned. Easy 3stacking.Quote:
