This is the most important thing: How can we get the Chocobo Mask now?

Now that the suit is available, you gotta make the mask reavailable.

Back in 1.0 it was an achievement reward. And it wasn't said it was gonna be unavailable in 2.0 (actually a whole lotta Legacy achievements were scrapped by launch. Like the hamlet, caravan, and ruthless gillionaire ones). I got all of those said to be unavailable in 2.0, but of course that was just part of the lies. ;)

I can't embrace the full glory of the chocobo! Or I guess I could be ironic and put on the Yellow Horse Helmet in combination with it.

Speaking of which, Ruthless Gillionaire could come back now that dungeon mobs give gil. It'd be a good thing!

I had literally said to myself "I'm close but I'll just get the mask in 2.0" thinking I was safe.
But then SE went and took them out without notice! I was pretty upset.

I would love to see these reimplemented.

I'm a bit frightened for the tantrums from 2.0 players who never played 1.0 after reading that list....

Maybe we get it as an achievement if we bring also our future baby chocobo to rank 10 (after chocobo raising is ingame).
Sadly, level up Chocobo is currently the only Chocobo content ingame.

I wish Chocobo Caravan get a comeback.

Hey all,

While we haven't decided when this will happen, we're exploring opportunities for players to be able to obtain the chocobo mask so you can dress up as your favorite porter NPC!

Can we just have caravan escort content back? Yeah, I'm aware of how easy seals are to obtain but I'd like to continue working on those achievements due to the fact they weren't advertised amongst the discontinued achievements when that announcement was made.

Well, if expansion has one of the areas that was brought up (cant remmeber which it was atm), it was the one where most/all of the chocobos used come from. Would make sense to have Chocobo Escorts in that area.

I would welcome caravan escort duty as something I could do with others or my fc perhaps.

Content will come back, but because they dont know when (paid expansion maybe?), they are looking for a workaround, so we can get some stuff faster (example: Chocobo-mask)...
Because I am collector, i hope to gain all legacy achivements somehow once again...

If there is no counterpart in 2.0 to the 1.0 achievement, it will be forever frozen. Like if you never did the spearfishing achievements in 1.0.

I'd rather see chocobo caravan come back to the game and revive the achievement, rather than the prize being given away for free some other way. Besides, caravan was fun, I'm sure with the new system they could make it even better.
On that same note, I'd like to see Hamlet Defense come back also. It was really nice to have something that all the classes could do together.

They should reintroduce it by pairing it with real chocobo raising they're planning. Make players bring their own chocobos to pull the caravan and have various stats as part of the raising and caravan strategy (bravery, leadership, speed, toughness, control, etc). Players will have to take into account of their party composition but also their chocobo 'group'.

All Chocobos are from Coerthas/Ishgard. They had the monopol on them during 1.0.
And even now in ARR, the employees in the chocobo ranch near Gridania are from Ishgard.

So long they do it like Leves again with reserved enemies for the participants and not 100% instanced. And the amount of participant should also be limited again, not unlimited like in a FATE. That would ruin the fun if 100 people just follow the caravan and kill everything that pop up (like in the FATEs where you follow a NPC). With limited participants the group need to split up in vanguard, rearguard and the healers in the middle with the chocobos.

Best of Chocobo caravan was that you don't just follow the caravan and kill everything on the way like in the current escort FATEs. You really needed to protect the Chocobos and their packages. If a Chocobo get damage he can lose a package. If he get too much damage the Chocobo panics and don't want to move after the fight until someone calm him down. To heal a Chocobo you give him something to eat.
With the help of this nice UI element during the content you can see the status of the Chocobos:

You can say that Chocobo caravan was something that ARR really need, a nice mini-game.

We were given the body suit for the rank 10 chocobo achievement reward and it is totally unfair that we were not given the mask at the same time!! Please SE give us the mask soon.... we believe it should of been with the suit!!!
