They don't seem to be working properly but if you right click the broken picture icons and select to open it in a new tab you can see the pictures.

The effect is subtle, but if you switch between the pictures you can see a difference.

why did u do this with the least cloth on ... sure you would see a diffrence if you actully wear something more ... -.-

Hair is slightly shinier, all cloth becomes shiny like silk or polished leather, bare skin looks lightly oiled.

No beads of water on clothing or running down skin, no water dripping off your character, hair stays perfect despite being soaked. Why did they even bother implementing this?

Look at hands, legs and boobs, "wet" picture has darker colours or more reflections.

That's actually about the level of effect I was expecting, at least for clothes.

Pity it doesn't do much about the hair but then again most of us are running around with anime hair and NOTHING affects anime hair.

Landscape is effected too, trees and stones are more shiny under rain, but darker... Effect on some gear looks rather nice, I guess I was bit too quick to judge... it is better than "joke". Running droplets would be nice thou.

People are disappointed with the extremely subtle weather effects and its their gpus fault???

Okay white knight.

Dunno, my character's hair gets hella shiny in the rain. The spec boost really isn't something you can appreciate from mere screenshots, but here's my character.

From what I can tell, hair gets a large shininess boost (mileage may vary with more sculptured hair). Shadows and colors are a little darker. Mundane cloth gets a shininess boost to near leather levels. Everything else gets a soft shininess boost. You won't notice it much walking around in your myth/ct/darklight/allagan gear, but walk around in say, your goldsmith AF and you'll see how shiny your gear gets.

Sounds like some people were genuinely expecting clothing to react as it does in real life when wet. Yes, would have been something new that noone's done yet, from what I've seen anyway. No, it would not have been very friendly to the game's rating. As much as it's a joke, "Think of the children!" was likely first and foremost on the developers' minds. Besides, there's games out there where the characters run around looking like they're veritably doused in oil... it doesn't look good one bit. The subtle effect presented here is nice looking thing. Wait, nice... thing... but... what is this... I don't even...

Yeah, avoid using tinypic. They will delete your pictures without warning and ANYTHING could replace them. A friend learned this the hard way when an event screenshot he took a year before suddenly was replaced with pornography (mind you he'd posted the event screenshot on the forums of the game we all played... so, yeah).

Imgur is a better solution. Free and easy to use, and they DON'T replace your pictures with porn.

biiiit disappointed tbh, I just expected the effect to be a lil more apparent and shinier! Rain's already rare enough xD
It is very obvious on some clothing but just wanted more effect on bare skin

I'm not horribly concerned with this. It was sorta an extra they threw in. I was hoping for something more dramatic, but whatever!

Nope, the fact you chose to take a screenshot of a nearly naked female character to demonstrate your point is where I got that idea from.

I believe Yoshi-p said mentioned that wet effects would look better in directx 11.

On topic: I like the changes made... but I like subtlety.

Just another thing to add to the "well... maybe the DX11 version will look better" pile.
