Well I was thinking today, wouldn't it be awesome to wield a key blade in ff14 lol. So I started thinking more about when kingdom hearts 3 releases on the ps4 in December. So my question is, Do you think we will see a mini add on introduced into the land of Eorzea like we did with lightning returns with mini chapters? It would be pretty cool to get gear to look like sora,riku or kairi with a matching key blade from the kingdom hearts series.
Will we see a kingdom hearts mini add on!

Dont get me wrong- I love KH just as much as the next person, but I honestly couldnt say I would want nor need it here in XIV...
I mean, how the heck would it even work, lore wise? Other than travel through the DtD>>>>Void, It wouldnt work very well...

i would say is impossible because KH is a jointed contract for the game between Square Enix, Walt Disney and its associations.
Meaning they have to make an agreement with Walt Disney and any other associations to use them in FFXIV.
Which undoubtly may take long, or never happens. -

As much fun as this idea would be, I don't think it's possible due to the fact that Disney owns half of the Kingdom Hearts franchise. In order to bring Kingdom Hearts into XIV, Square Enix would probably need to get permission from Disney to do it.

As for the actual topic, I've never played KH, but the two biggest points I know is 1) The majority of the characters are Disney. 2) The FF/SE characters are only a handful. So while an in-depth crossover is more than likely out of the question, it all depends on the ownership of the actual main characters(non-Disney owned), ie if they're joint or solely SE owned. Same with the keyblade and anything else that was a new 'weapon' from those games. TBH I'd rather we get a gunblade like the Garleans before a lowbie vanity piece like the keyblades... -

Nah...KH3 will sell itself, it doesn't require such aggressive advertising as XIII-3 needed to get people interested in it. So I don't think we'd see a crossover for it.

Lore into the game of ff14 from kh makes plenty of sense because sora, riku, kairi, we'll mainly sora, Donald and goofy are always jumping through worlds,what if the key blade unlocked our world? I think if SE did do it like that I wouldn't expect to see Disney characters without Disney giving the ok but why wouldn't Disney not give the ok they wouldn't lose anything, instead gain more momentum with kh3. If and this is a big IF Disney didn't allow the use of Disney characters I would probably only expect to see original character of SE as in sora, riku, and kairi, organization 13 etc, probably a huge fate with heartless popping everywhere for chp 1, for chapter 2 maybe fight roxas or someone from organization 13. I have a lot of good ideas

Anyway, I don't really care either way about Kingdom Hearts getting a FFXIV event. I'd say they should stick to other FF games like the XIII and XI events, but we already got a Dragon Quest event and Kingdom Hearts has more to do with FF than Dragon Quest does. It's not like it'd be the end of the world to see people running around with a Keyblade sword for Paladins or something, don't get why people feel so uppity over these events. It's established canon fact now that Eorzea is connected to other worlds through the Void. -
