Lobby Connection Error 5006

Tried to login today but got connection error 5006 cant even make it to character selection screen.

You are not the only one. Happened to me 3 times today within an hour.

Needless to say this has never happened to me before.

People abandoned dungeon because the whole raid got kicked out from server then some never logged back on.

yes i get the same thing only it switches from 5006 to 2002 after being 90k'd out of a dungeon during a roulette run which now i prolly will not be able to do again so i pretty much lost my roulette run for the day and so yes this shit needs to be fixed cause it takes 20 minutes after getting knocked off to log back in we are paying for a service to play the game not get knocked off and not be able to log back in these errors after the initial 90k are the data center bad enough cannot connect to the lobby server but data center as well is this being caused by your ps4 implementation ?

I just got this too. Was at the end of a dungeon run and suddenly got booted out. Keep getting lobby server errors now.

Was doing dailies for the Amal'jaa and got 90k'd about an hour ago. Ever since then I haven't been able to log back in with multiple 5006 and 6001s. This might take awhile.

Yes, these old problems back again. Mostly the same from Beta Phase 4, Early Access day 3 and Launch. Nothing's really changed here... because SE doesn't learn lessons. XIV was released yesterday on Steam and apparently they're once again overwhelmed with new players because they didn't predict just how many people a Steam offering (and starting at 50% off) would bring. I have a feeling this is going to go on for a while, we'll see what maintenance manages tonight but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Same error 5006 lobby server, and this isnt because a lot of new players log in. you would get a 3102 then.

Guys, found a solution (sort of)

Don't log back into your data centre. Try another data centre (like the Japanese ones), then exit that data centre and log back onto your own. It worked immediately for me.

This isn't a solution to the problem, several servers and data centers are affected.

The entire data center is giving frequent disconnections and error when trying to log back in i know its teh data center cause i logged into gaia data center with no problems and when i went to try to log back in on primal i got teh same 5006 and 2002 connection was lost or cannot connect to lobby errors.
1.Atomos data center working
2.Gaia Data center = working
3.Mana Data center = working
4.Aether Data Center = NOt Working
5.Primal Data Center = NOt Working
6.Chaos Data Center = Working
So yes all the NA Data Centers and EU Data centers are down

not going to do you any good the NA and EU data centers are down someone thought it would be funny to unplug them so doesn't matter how many times you attempt to log in your not getting in

Technically it is not "down", per se, since I am in limsa atm and can count with my both hands of the people there.

But ya, it's dead quiet on the server right now.

I have a feeling SE is being DNS attack atm :P

Pseudo-DDoS is more like it. Kind of like the 'Slashdot effect' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slashdot_effect), since the game was put on Steam at 50% off yesterday, people bought it and spent the day downloading/patching and are only now starting to slam the servers.

The Beta setup is what the maintenance tonight is for. Completely separate issue.
