Turn 5 Pop Quiz!

Hey all, I designed a little quiz for turn 5 (<20 questions). My thought was that group leaders can use it to double check preparedness for Twintania, or even just use it as a "study guide" and go over it verbally with their group . Check it out, and see what you think.

Too easy for me, even after I killed Twintania in November and quit shortly after. :p

PHASE 1

1. Where should you run right when the fight starts?
no correct answer for this, positioning is unique for each group and its completely different for each job/role.

some questions are pretty group dependent though

1. Where should you run right when the fight starts?
Clearly not in front of Twin unless I'm MT her beast SCH mode.

2.Based on the attacks going out from the adds (namely Liquid Hell), how should you position yourself relative to your party members?
Get away from me blackmage lalas always it's targeting you!

Bonus:
No idea, you go down for dive bombs at 55%ish or something. ; . ;

Phase 2
1. If you are an Arcanist a SMN or SCH, why are you probably getting yelled at right now?
Need more Lustrates. Eos not on placed right.


2. What attack is indicated by a red reticle above your head?
Fireball. (Looks HUGE after that mismatch turn 5 add in lol)


3. Where do you run if a blue reticle appears above your head?
Under Twin but not way up in Dere cause you'll get forgot the word but it hurts when she drops on your head.

4.Fireball inception? Pass!

Bonus. Before which conflags should your bard be setting up Foe's Requiem?
Not my job, Fresh usually is on top of that. I got to worry about that death sentence lustrate debuffness. /crosses arms. (But he should probably get it on the fast one?) A BARD SHOULD ANSWER THIS! /BAD PLAYA

Phase 3
1. Will the purple wall hurt you if you walk into it?
You can skid it and live but it will kill you if you auto-run into it.


2. How many divebombs before snakes? How many divebombs during snakes?
3 / 3 - SPRINT YO.

3. What happens if you don't stack low enough for divebombs?
Someone ruins it for the rest of us - runs out too early and were all ping-ponged into our death beds.


Bonus. At what % should your Hygeia be when the limit break hits?
MUST LUSTRATE SOLO MAIN TANK. MUST HEAL MUST KEEP ALIVE. MUST BUBBLE. AH.

PHASE 4
1. Detail exactly how twisters work.
Focus TARGET twin when she gets back. (You can have it up before fight starts with new patch) IT'S A CAST BAR SHE DOES. It reads: TWISTER. You need to be moving. For sch I usually run down left hill and back up again. Others will probably run around in circle - like dog chases tail. You will see green circle thing on floor - avoid it - don't run back into it. Avoid your pt members yo. 1 shot death yo. serious.


2. How far from the center of the arena should you be?
On a hill. Watching for death sentence and twin. If your dd. Better GET AWAY MELEE. Dreadknight likes to hug you.

3. How many times can a dreadknight be stunned?
T-Three? Or 5 times. I know our pally stuns it 3 times, and dragoon leg sweeps that, I'll just say 5. /SHRUG

4. Whelp.

5. How many neurolinks are on the ground right now?
Three - http://i.imgur.com/QAK7wCh.jpg (Ignore black X's but that's our general positioning LOL - BLUE STUFF IS GOOD STUFF - P.S we don't have an offtank anymore. ; .;)

6.At what % does Twintania enter her final phase?
Failing at all these questions today!

Phase 5
How far from your neurolink should you stand?
Melee eats hatches.

2. Do you need to run into your neurolink if your offtank is successfully eating hatches?
Melee eats hatches. But if MT get's fire-spit then yeah SPRINT TO DA NEUROLINK!

3. Where do you run if you have Liquid Hells?
Run against the walls but not against them because you know - it burns yo. KITE TIME!

4. Should you pop all your remaining cooldowns and burn this bitch like your life (and her enrage timer) depends on it?
I'm dotting it - DOTTING IT. LUSTRATE. DOT LUSTRATE. No, but usually were fine.

Should you now go to Mor Dhona and show off your shiny new weapon?
I have the book and honestly I miss the glow from relic +1. The glowy book is magical rainbows. o.o

I will talk about a 2 tanks strategy, a single tank strategy is possible and has some differences.

P1

1) Stupid question. MT, OT, Melee, Ranged or Healer ? In our strategy, the OT engages, the MT gets Twintania and position himself "not far" from the hole on the right. The OT tanks the adds on the opposite side, the melees are close, the bard is almost at the exit and the BLM is close of the entrance. One healer is in the middle-left and one in the middle-right.
2) Stupid question. MT, OT, Melee, Ranged or Healer ? The Ranged, the MT and Healers will be far from the OT, the Melees will stick with the OT.
Bonus : 85% if Twin isn't casting a sentence.

P2

1) You forgot to use yours shields/bubble when someone is targetted by a fireball.
2) The person is targetted by a fireball.
3) Stupid question, really. If you have some meless, under Twintania. With a full ranged group, away from the group.
4) Stupid question. Depending on the strategy/timing, during the short conflag a fireball may pop and YOU DON'T RUN INTO THE CONFLAGS. This isn't a real problem since the conflag will pop before the landing of the fireball. But at the opposite situation, a fireball may pop during the short conflags (when the conflag is at 5-10% HP) and the fireball will land AFTER the death of the conflag. The answer isn't yes or no, the answer is "yes during long conflags and no during short conflags"
Bonus : Stupid question. If you run without a SMN/BLM, will you use Requiem at all ? If you're running with 3 melees, will you waste your mana on Requiem when the melees can be TP starved ? But you were waiting for the 2nd, 4th (6th = wipe) conflag.

P3
1) No, the wall doesn't hurt, the flames are just doing 9999 damage and make you unable to move.
2) 3 divebombs and 3 divebombs.
3) If you are lucky, nothing. A BLM can stand away from the group during the second divebombs and use manawall. If you are unlucky, 8 deaths.
Bonus : Are you serious ? Do you realize than you can use a melee LB on the big snake ? Do you realize that the LB can be level 2 or 3 ? Do you realize that you can pass this phase without using the LB ?
LB3 caster : around 80%
LB2 caster : around 50%
Melee LB : kill one snake, leave a bard on the second snake and kill it when the first debuff has a few seconds left.

P4
1) Twintania casts and a small tornado will pop somewhere on the way you just travelled during the cast. They OS the character who is in the twister and bump the close characters.
2) Stupid question. The OT (if he's second in emmity) MUST BE in the center, the MT will be close of an edge while the rest must be close of the edges.
3) No idea, 3 times ? Usualy, our BLM uses Ice I to slow him long enough to not even be in danger and kill him after the 3rd stun.
4) I lost 5K
5) 2.
Bonus : 30%, if she isn't casting a sentence.

P5
1) In theory, we shouldn't be next to them but not too far.
2) No.
3) d). I like the olympics, last week I was targetted 4 times ina row, quite funny as a bard, eveybody was so happy :)
4) I'm waiting to see who is the target of the liquid hell before popping my CD's. If I'm the target, I don't. If a tank is the taget, I move next to a neurolink and pop everything and if someone else is, I burn everyting.

Good point! I had written this with ISIS' strategy in mind, but since I posted it here, some of these questions may have questionable relevance and/or multiple answers.

I think all the "stupid questions" aren't quite so stupid if you consider that I wrote this with a single strategy (ISIS' strategy) in mind, and to be answered from the specific role of the person answering.

Although you're right, this isn't a universal quiz that spans every possible strategy.

With regard to your answers:

P2.1. "Your pet isn't in position" was my intended answer, although yours is also true.
P4.3. "3" is correct, but you're not from my server anyway D=
P5.2. you can never be too careful ;)

Sorry, english isn't my first langage and in french a "stupid question" doesn't sound as bad as a "question idiote" in french :p Sorry if you misunderstood it ;) In french, a "question idiote" is a question with an obvious answer or only rethorical answers.

About the neurolinks, in our strategy, we are spread to give us some rom for the liquid hell's and our MT is far from the first and second neurolink, if we stand in one of them, we are out of range :p
