A member has withdrawn from the duty... seriously?

At first I didn't mind this as much when only a few people were doing it when I que'd for CT. It only made the wait time 3-5 min longer.

NOW it's happening more frequently. I got the notification about ~50 ish times (yes I counted) until I got a party. I roll as a tank for CT so I get decent times but on my dps I get insane times that I don't even bother anymore.

EVEN WORSE! I tried doing a duty roulette and this happened for like 15 minutes. Like seriously? even on duty roulette?! this shizz is getting outta hand.

S.E fixed it by making in progress show 0/1 for CT.

I've thought when I see it happen why the freak are you queing just to cancel when it pops. Especially if they are doing a random since you dont know what it is till you enter and even worse when its a specific dungeon. Basically why did you que just to leave it?????? as bad as those that enter pharos sirios and immediately leave when they see what dungeon it is

And i will never understand why they dont like the Pharos Sirios....its not a hard DN at all, its one of the rare once in witch you need really to play as a team and all know what they are doing....maybe exactly because of that !!! Who knows but will be a shame if they are really going to nerf it.

To the OP, welcome to the DPS world.....1/5 fo the time you play.....4/5 you wait and push the dam button to start the DN. I know very well how you feel, because i play only as a Monk.
My opinion SE needs to stop doing half of the job and put unfinished system in the game....also i think they need to change the formula of the partys, if the tanks are really that rare they need to make partys like.....1tank,1healer,4dps. Less tanks and healers will be sued to creat a party and more dps wil be able to join. And in order to stop the withdraw i think they need to make it so that people witch want only to go in partys witch are in progress, should not be put in same waiting line as people witch are waiting to start a new party.

They didn't fix anything; the tanks fishing for in-progress runs are still withdrawing whenever they don't see 0/1. If it's not where they want it, they either troll until they're kicked or just straight up leave. X/4 or 0/1 makes no difference to them.

But OP, you must've been insanely lucky before the change, because it was definitely far worse for me. At least I'm not wasting 20 minutes on this withdraw garbage anymore (more like 5~10 now).

Because 4 people who've never played together and don't have a decent means of communication are bound to be able to 'play as a team' right from the start.

PS is NOT the kind of content (at it's current tuning) that a random PUG-based system like DF should be expected to work.

You're right on point! People just be fishin~ they don't care that it's 0/1. As long as they don't have to start from the beginning.

I do hope that SE finds a ways to fix this fishing issue. And by "find" I mean read people's suggestions that are on the forums (because there are a lot of great ideas on how to deal with this).

I completely agree. It's too difficult to do with a pug at the moment. I've only been able to do this successfully maybe 3 or 4 times?

I'm seeing this a lot with Roulette now too. Popped after a few minutes on DPS while waiting on a tank. Today, no exaggeration, 10 tanks withdrawing later I finally got in a CB hard.

I was in cutters cry yesterday morning and for some unknown reason the healer left just before the second Boss. One dps just dcd and after a 'massive' five minutes the tank wanted to abandon the party. I said know. Why couldn't he wait 10 mins for a full group. So I would get a dps, healer , tank and each one would leave instantly because they didn't want to wait 5 minutes for a full group. This went on until there was 20 minutes left on the timer and the remaining members who had patience decided to abandon the party because it would be able to clear it in time.

People complain about how bad people are in 'other MMOs in group finders but in my experience players in this game are just far worse and have no patience. There needs to be harsher leaving penalties and the vote abandon needs revised. If three players want to abandon a duty why can't they leave and the one who doesn't get to stay?

lol. I play on a NA Server ... but don't understand any of it either ... Worrying about some douches in CT/Wherever is not worth it in my book ... Just chill and move on, they are not worth your time and your letting them have control over you by staying angry at them. xD

Yeah, they do need to do more to discourage people who do this. Withdrawing from a ready queue at least... 3 times in a row (because this can easily happen by accident, the way the window just pops out at you and takes immediate focus) should lock you out from being able to queue again for a while, same as it does when ditching a party without using vote abandon. I honestly consider the whole repeated withdraw thing to be a form of griefing and I'm sure I can't be the only one that thinks so.

It's definitely a step up from Haukke. Haukke is so trivial it gets speedrunned to WP proportions.
I ain't ever seen people doing Pharos speedruns; have you?

PS along with Copperbell are the only two lv50 DR dungeons I see people bail from before the DUTY COMMENCED even appears.

Either:

(1) Give no notification if a run is in progress at all. Make all runs look like a fresh run, even if its in progress. So if you click "join in progress runs" you wont know if you join an in-progress until you've already accepted. So if it's not, its either complete the run or eat the 30 min debuff.

(2) Make a "join in progress only" button, where it will wait for and only pop when there's an opening for an in-progress run.

that's one thing that is truly from what I have seen truly lacking in this game no flippin patience no one wants to wait granted real life responsibilities and such come first but seriously queuing up for the most part is a waiting game, show some back bone and actually give it a try instead of just fetchin leaving.

Yes yes they are. but the catch is it's not the servers it's the players you get some good ones who are fun to play with a good attitude and such then you have the bad ones who mess it up for everyone.

Why not just adopt WoW's LFR style?

They check people who are ready just like 14. Where they deviate is the following:

-If a few people do not hit accept, the queue starts over again in 14
-If a few people do not hit accept, everyone is put in the instance and then you wait for the remaining members to fill in, in WoW

Not a hard system to implement.

The people love do this for several reasons.

The Trolls, the classic guy who think doing this is Comical Right?

The leechs.... They do this for join groups in progress and finish the dungeon in 5 mins. So this players can leech the hard work of your parthers.

People with EXTREMELY LOW time for play. Seriously if you dont have 30 mins as minimum for play, avoid the duty finder.

The majority of the players, switch the window for do a millions of things while they wait for the Duty Finder.This people do not deserve to be punished.

For avoid punish this players.

Creating a Music warning for us, if the Duty finder is ready. A music with a duration of 90 secs will let us know.

90 secs is enough time for you can return of your AFK even if you are in another Room. What about this awesome Theme by FFXIII - 2.

Obvious a New option in the "Sound menu" will have to be added. "Warning Announce for Duty finder".

For contain the trolls and the Leechs

1.- If you are a DPS and you withdrawn. You will have a penalty. Yes you will be unable use duty finder for 10 mins. I think 90 secs and the song are enough time for you comeback.

2.- If you are a Tank or a Healer you will receive a 15 mins penalty for withdrawn. Yes you can Find party in 30 secs... So you need a Longer withdrawn penalty for give you a lesson.

The duty finder is not a tool for Troll ARR

Then i must say you were pretty unlucky , ive only failed this dn 2 times and that was when it first came out. Since then i have allays compleated it. And when i wait for DF im allays solo.

When people dont understand the boss fights and their classes, they start to blame dn is too hard. This is a not a solo game !

When this people see that are in this dn and leave asp they are same rage quiters by primals after 1 wipe and are out. Today i was in a aprty for Titan ex, all strangers in DF we stick together we wiped a lot but we killed him at the end.
