We need more open world content!

As the title states. We need more open world content! The game is so beautiful yet there us no reason to go see it. As the game is right now, everyone just sets at toll waiting for PF (that is boring at this stage of the game, wasnt at first)

We have Odin amd Behemoth, but on my server (coeurl) they spawn at 3-5 am the deadest of time of a very active server....

Currently, the only places players see often are aleport, coasta del sol, and dragonhead. That is THREE areas of many and they are just FATE grinding.

I personally think we need more fights like Odin/behemoth (many more) with vanity rewards or something, so players gather and explore!

Anything but FATEs then... yup

The instance-fest XIV has become is exactly what many feared. Treasure hunting is a small step in the right direction, but we need more options. Larger options.

Who else misses some elements of sky? And don't complain about claimbots. :/

Some non instanced caves, fortresses, castles, and the like would be nice.
Something that can be explored at leisure.
Heck, even WoW has those.

there has been tons of posts asking for different and particularly open world content, but the devs refuse to respond to it, which means likely they have no plans to do it at all or have nothing in the works (which means it wont happen for a long while) this game will likely forever be a linear instance vertical gear climb of simple rotation spam and dodging red circles til its dead. And if thats the case, it will be dead sooner than later.

Give us open world notorious monsters. Hell put them in fates if you want them accessible to everyone. Make it so you have to get gold to receive the item they drop, or even better make items rare and cost seals. I mean tons of people have seals just sitting and rotting on them, why not give us something to use them on besides housing?

I'd like to see open world nms/fates that correspond with seasons. Four seasons, four world boss fates. Each one runs three months. Each boss has their own seals that you can farm. Make each item something like 50k seals so there is actual work to get the desired item instead of doing a fate once and getting the item (see lightning fates). Make them on par with items that drop from instances, this will get people out farming seals and participating in fates/open world content. Heck make it so if you get gold you get some sort of reward like a medium amount of gil (10k) or a vanity item or even a housing item! There is so much they can do with this game but instead they decide to hide items in instances (coil gear) farm same instances over and over for items (myth). There is no excitement, there is no desire to go out and kill bosses and have your heart jump out of your chest when you see a rare item drop in the loot pool.

Give us smaller nm's that drop items that are a step above items available at that level. All of the Notorious Monsters they had in 11 offered items that were a little bit better than gear available at that level, you didn't absolutely need that item but if you wanted put in hard work to get something you thought was great then you were rewarded. There is nothing worth holding onto in this game. Everything is replaced every few levels. When I got my leaping boots on my on level 25 theif I kept them for 7 years, every low level job that could wear them wore them while leveling up. It was a piece of gear I was proud of, especially when they went from leaping boots to bounding boots. Newer people would ask me about leaping boots and I'd gladly tell them how I camped for days to get the boots, and I wore them with pride. Now I just wear something a few levels turn it into a useless piece of materia (wheeee another earth materia) and equip the next item for a few levels to repeat the process.

Some NM's that drop non-sellable items would be fun.. I dare even mention HNM's for gear would be fun too, but camp-a-thons and player lock out due to ilvl/status could be discouraging if you don't hang out with the 'right people'... But I never knew anyone in FFXI to walk by a random NM, high or low level, and not kill it just for the sake of getting it because it was fun.

If SE made this a more Open world game do you know how many casual gamers would want this game casual gamers love open world games i don't understand SE way of thinking lol.
