where is my gil going?

I have noticed that I will have whatever amount of gil when I log out. And log in the next day with a lower amount. where in the hell does my gil go? i'm losing a lot of it at times.

Did you at any point BUY gil?
That gil hack thing might still be happening, even though i haven't heard much about it since. :I
Change your passwords and whatnot just to be safe.

Are you in the same spot when you log in either way I would put a ticket in. Warning if you ask for a rollback it will be rollbacked to the 1st day you was hacked.

You mean besides daily expenetures, like teleports and repairs?

SE added new "standing" tax to remove more gil from circulation, didn't it?

no, i have not bought any gil from the spammers, I am in the same spot I logged at, and yes besides daily stuff....

Take screenie when you log out and take screenie when you log back in...

It doesn't really makes much sense. Are you 100% sure of it? I mean, if someone was trying to steal it I'd assume they'd take everything and not small amount daily...

Just take screenshots and then you could also provide SE with proof when you open a ticket.

Sack your retainers and rehire new ones. I had a bad one once, was always skimming.

As Rassle said, take a screenshot before you log out and after you login, upload the images to an image hosting site, then contact support including the links to the images, if you use live chat you can get an instant reply, but as this seems a definate bug (I have never seen account hackers act in this manner, they normally gut the account and change the password) they will probably have to investigate beofore they can do anything (the investigation will also include IP addresses accessing the account to see if the account has been compromised as well).

Maybe from now on when he is on alert he might do, but to have the same problem happen again is not much likely...

SE definetly have some logfiles and can look into it...

I think if someone used large amounts of illicit gils to purchase something from you it could be withdrawn from you by SE.

Don't know what happened but like people suggested track for a few days the amount you have when logging out.

We aren't saying screenshot after every log out, just a few times, then if the issue occurs agan he can then show support the screenshot showing a differance, it would also include the times he logged off and on (because to show the issue the UI needs to be shown) and they would know exactly where to start looking for any problems.

'This actually happens in XI - I noticed I logged out with 26.2m in XI, took a small break, came back to exactly 2.3m which means it was chopped down, by SE, despite that money coming from selling off currency for a relic weapon I no longer wanted to finish.

So the fact it happens in 2 games means SE themselves are taking people's gil randomly at times as well, either because they're trying to remove gil from the economy or because whoever bought your stuff actually bought gil. For those curious, no, SE won't do anything about it unless you were hacked.

Sounds like a job for...

Yes, seriously. If I had a problem where my gil disappears and I wanted that fixed, I'd take the time (0.5 second) to screenie my game if that helps SE even a tiny bit.

^ It's extremely common sense to log everything when start is going missing, as it not only helps you it helps who you're trying to get support from to prove that there's an issue. It takes almost no work to keep logs of your activity, hell the game even does it for you to a lesser degree.

It is common to NOT log anything because fearing something COULD happen...
You BEGIN to log everything when something already HAPENED and you are trying to reproduce the error...

Lets explain: How many had screenshots from 90000 error and how many had screenshots from secunds BEFORE the 90000 error?
You must be a fortune-teller to predict errors before they happen!

As for OP, he noticed gil-loss, now he is warned and can take actions with screnshots, but have he known before? No! How could he?

i always keep my gil at retainers ( i keep 20k in my wallet for teleporting and repairing )

so i only take money from retainers when im going to buy things cost 20k+
