OMG... run!! You've called Nobuo Uematsu elevator music!! run!! These freaks will eat you alive...
Well Joeking... I -
(you hear swoosh sound and then a distant sound of running footsteps)
Anyway, im not saying its bad, im just saying, i feel like im on a never ending elevator... its pretty relaxing though.
If anything market ward music is elevator music lol. I've forgot what Uldah music is since I swapped it for Mistbeard.
You must ride in some pretty cool elevators. Mine just sound like Kenny G.
I don't ride on any elevator unless there is a sign right outside of it that says "Cool Elevator". Sounds like you ride just any elevator so thats probly why you get Kenny G music :/
Eh, I don't mind the Ul'dah music, actually. I did always think the Thanalan zone music was a little too sweeping and epic at times, though. Feels out of place to me for a 'starting' zone.
Ugh, yes. I love Nobuo Uematsu, but I'm not a fan of the MW muzak. That can just... go. Every time I'm in the MW I turn down my volume, which is something I don't normally do, since I'm a game music junkie.
I can hardly remember what the MW music sounds like but i sort of recall it reminding me of the 70s.
What's wrong with elevator music?
Final Fantasy XIV needs better audio pieces for sure.
If you listen to the distant worlds tracks you can see the possibilities, they just need to not revert all those pieces into elevator music compilations.
They dont have any Bad Religion on elevators... but they should
I like the elevator music...
Hah. Ive only mentioned this a million times :) If uldah was a big elevator it would work out nicely.
It just sets a mood. Like most of Uematsu's music.
Here's an example of elevator music.
Honestly it sounds more like something made by Kumi Tanioka, who also worked on XI.
Nobuo's music is pretty boring now to be honest :D. I know most fan boys will be like ZOMGOZMGOZMG, but the thing is comparing nobuos 14 soundtrack to who ever made 13's is like comparing a basketball to a baseball in size. The difference is massive :D.
I agree, it sucks so hard. They need to make that music actually appear in an elevator somewhere in the game and re-do the Ul'Dah music. For reals. Come on, it's not to late. PS3 release hasn't happened yet. There's still time.
There's a place where everyone can be happy....
Anyway, my issue with Ul'dah's music is that it sounds like something that belongs more to a lush, paradise-like island nation with white sand beaches and Mi'qote in bathing suits frolicking in the gentle waves. Not this...city that while bustling does have a bit of an underbelly to it.
It's almost as if the packet of pictures and concepts Uematsu was given for Ul'dah contained some pictures of palm trees by accident or something.
Ding! 1st floor; brown walls and rmt-trains!
