ok i have done everything on the support site ive updated my graphics card and set my start up programs to not run. i have also tried putting all my settings low. turned off all background programs looked at every fan site i could to figure this out and nothing has worked can some1 help me.

Graphic Device(s) Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset sounds like an onboard video. Are you on a laptop? That is probably why it doesn't run. You need a gfx card to get it to run usually.

i dont know the comp i have is very new i dont know why this is a prob

try downloading and running the benchmark?
Also if you changed any settings in the FFXIV CONFIG i would try reset use default to see if that works.
Also try running as admin?? not sure on this one, just suggestion.

You need a graphics card in the pci-e expansion slot to run the game. Or AGP if its an older PC. Without a graphics card the onboard video will not be enough to run FFXIV or any new games. Check to see what kind of expansion slots your PC has and try to find a video card that is the same type.

so i have wow on my comp and ur telling me that this game i wasted my money on because this is very dumb

WOW does not take a lot of resources to run at all. It is an older game with outdated graphics. For graphic intense games like FFXIV you need a graphics card. Check your PC documentation to see if you have a GFX card or an expansion slot for one at least. It will most likely not run with onboard video unless you baught an expensive PC. But 128 mb of onboard video is pretty much useless these days.

The answer is yes you wasted your money if you bought this game without researching the minimum requirements to run it. You can try to run the benchmark like Reinheart said and tell us what your score is but I doubt you will be able to run the game well with your onboard video. Next time research the minimum requirements before you buy a game for the PC.

You can't compare WoW with FFXIV graphics. FFXIV is in a whole other league.

To be quite honest, we can't help you if you aren't willing to give information.
Can you run the benchmark at all? Are you playing in Fullscreen mode, and alt tabbing out while it loads? Are you playing in windowed mode, and is it just not responding.
Does it give any error when it crashes? If so which?
You haven't given nearly enough information. "It crashes when I click Play" is not enough information. A million different things cause a crash, and without a single bit of information you won't figure out what is causing it. If you want assistance, don't attack the people trying to help you out.

i am doing everything that was told on the support enix site i have the lowest setting on there im running windowed mode i have benchmark and when i click a char it crashes as well if u were reading first post i did say that

As everyone have been telling you, you need a dedicated video card with at least 512 MB of vram.
As per the spec requirements, which incidentally is also printed on the game box, at least a Nvidia GeForce 9600 or ATI HD 2900 is needed to run the game.

What you have is an IGP (Integrated Graphics Processor) with 128 MB of dedicated memory, and it is simply not good enough to run a game as graphically demanding as FF XIV.

Listen you need a video card WoW is cheap game that can run onboard video just like FFXI it was made back in 2002-2004 where online games did not need a video card.

You need at least a 440 which you can buy for 70$ as long as you have a PCI 16 express slot on your computer if you don't have that then you waste your money. I don't want to be mean but really wow is noting vs ffxiv and you think you can run wow you think you can run ffxiv? really? did you even read the box before buying it? you have 126mb video onboard and you thought you could just play on low setting o.o

A get yourself video card or B quit or C: look up your pc if you have a pci express 16slot if you dont then your out of luck then.
