I want to pvp, but your game isn't letting me. You could also try fixing some of the awful gear imbalances so people have a reason to start PvP... you know, preferably before PvP has completely died. Sitting around until march waiting for 2.2 is not good enough.
Have you considered that the long queues aren't because of people being undergeared and more people aren't interested? The PvP crowds of the Final Fantasy MMOs have been incredibly small compared to other MMOs because, well, we don't play a Final Fantasy game to beat other players skulls. It's for the story. It's always been for the story. Not saying that there aren't people who want PvP, this thread is proof of that. It's just... well, more apt to say their population percentage per server likely barely breaks two digits. Worse even than the tank population on Duty Finder... by alot. Further insult to injury is that you're queued as a DD. I'd imagine the same role population break-up exists in PvP as does in Duty. You're better off just forming your parties beforehand instead of queuing solo.
Its not all one or the other. Its a bit of both, I understand that. Doesn't make the current situation any less acceptable.

Well, you can see why that might be the case.
PvP isn't terrible. It just isn't taken serious enough by the devs.
They had EVERYTHING you might want to have for PVP.
A Colosseum for 1on1 is it somehow implemented in PVP? Not that I heard any rumors it ever will be.
Team PvP. FORCED to have a tank. If respecing would help.....
Rewardsystem for new gear. Just that the the tokens you need to buy new gear are ridicolous
I want sloted max level gear for PVP. Also for PVE, but thats a different story.
PVP would need a dual spec ability. It would also need the possibility to have 2 separated tool bars. Lets say Set 1 is for PVE Set 2 ist for PVP. How it is now, it is just a pain.
I liked PVP. Although it has even more elitist meanies that gnaw out at you that you don't wear full PVP set on your very first PVP try. Or, because less people are doing PVP its seems like more.

The PvP wait times are not that bad on my server, even in the early hours of the morning. In fact, I prefer going in the middle of the night so that I can avoid all the rank 30 premades. It seems your server group just doesn't have enough people who are interested. =/ I will agree that it's sort of lame that I am teamed up with the same set of people, over and over again. The sample size for PvP is extremely small. After a few nights of playing every day, I pretty much recognize everyone I queue in with.
So I should pay SE money to transfer to a better server group? Makes sense, thanks SE for having such a great system that doesn't allow me to PvP unless I pay you extra to server transfer.
I agree honestly. It's one of the easier ways I'd been dwelling on to let those who do enjoy PVP have their fun. Of the mornings (7-11A.M) I have wait times much similar to these as a MRD. It's simply because there aren't enough PVP players connected together.
I've seen the same PVP players for the last few weeks. It's the same people+new guys cutting their teeth. Needs more! Better for everyone. More new players for the new guys that want to learn, more people for me to eat. :3
Please SE, please fix this, PvP players want to enjoy the game, but they cant.
i would pvp if there were objective based matches. 4 v 4 battle royale just doesn't do it for me.
The game's PvP is designed for people who grind endlessly for gear which then makes them invincible against anybody below their gear level. Also the game has no class balance at all in PvP. And it's only 4v4 arena which is where class balance is most obvious.
If I want to play a terrible unbalanced PvP game I'll go back to Tera. Fortunately this game gives me lots of PvE stuff to do, so no one should be surprised most people are ignoring this game's PvP.
I would love to collect the gear from pvp and would be willing to grind to do so, but these queue times make it impossible to play. With the amount of matches it must take to reach rank 30, even a small wait between each one makes it unappealing since you spend more time waiting than doing anything. I also dislike it being related to the grand companies, since I recently switched GC and it reset my pvp rank and reclaimed the abilities I had earned.
