ps3 player just joined

looking for people to party up with and such. dont know many people on here and would like to change that ^-^

Welcome to Eorzea! If you're looking for people to play with, such as linkshells and Free Companies to join, a good place to start is in the forum for the server you play on, found here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/forums/835-Siren (unfortunately, I play on Ridill, not Siren though, as otherwise I'd invite you to my linkshell and Free Company, but I'm sure you'll find one for you on Siren :D).

^^^^^^ Yup go to your server best chance you got... Honestly you are going to find a lot of people in game really fast... And because your new and don't have a FC people will be wanting to pick you up and show you the ropes... Because you probably hit your posting limit being a new player I will repost this for you in the Siren forums...

i have a fc. though there arent that many people in it im more or less looking for a linkshell / friends outside of my fc.

They were nice and suggested you find people on Siren. I was going to try to lure you to Malboro, but it looks you've already leveled a bit.

If you didn't know, you can also log into the Lodestone and search for players / free companies there.
Just come back to the New Player Help section if you have any other questions.

Most in our FC are PS3 players and super friendly. Only thing is we are on Leviathan.
The server specific section hopefully has a FC that can suit you

Awww, I'm so sorry to hear that. But I guess that's life sadly. If you ever decide to come to Ridill you'll be most welcome in my FC and linkshell! Ridill is a Legacy server though (and a Japanese server at that) so it might be a bit more 'deeper' than a new one. But it's up to you. :D

Sorry about that ^^ Sometimes it dont work out...we have a few new members recently in our FC that left their previous because of hassle - so I understand.

If you ever fancy Phoenix, drop me a tell. Im on PS too - in fact got a few friends also on PS playing in our FC.

it wont let me create a new charcter one the server

Orz, sadly according to this official page on the Lodestone, Ridill is currently locked to new character creation: http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...23e07acb3d22f6 :(

You might have to wait a day or so in order to create a character there as usually the character creation restriction is lifted reasonably quickly.

Ridill is open now as of noon PST / 20:00 GMT.
In fact, all of the servers are open right now...

made my toon on ridill tried pming you and couldnt for some reason,

PM? Sadly you can only send a PM to someone who is on your friend list, so you'd have to send me a Friend Request first before that could happen. Otherwise try sending me a /tell - I was online earlier but logged just before came on the forum. I'm usually online most days so hopefully you should be able to catch me. ;)

i ended up typing /tell Enkidoh hey its Pyro and it went through as i was trying to contact "Enkidoh Hey" idk what i did wrong .-.

You need to use both first and last name (since multiple characters could have the same first name).
/tell Enkidoh Roux hey its Pyro

Yeah, Niwashi is right - you need to type both my first and last name (with a space between them) after /tell - it will throw up an error otherwise.

I just quickly logged into the game just then and tried doing a /search for you Pyro but you weren't showing up as online. ; ;

I'm guessing someone has to be online to send a tell?

Yes, someone has to be logged in to initiate any contact with them - pm, friend request, fc invite... I'm not sure but following them on Lodestone *may* let you know when they log in. I know it shows you when people in your FC log in.

I'm new player as well and I'm in need of some friends to know and work with together to level up and do mission/job's as party of 2-4. Sometimes I wish I had friend who like Final Fantasy games like me and hang out with online. I'm in the World Ultros and I hope I'm posting this in the right place.

@Pyro: as our play times seem to not be matching I let a friend in my ls/FC know I've offered you an invite so if he sees you online when I'm not on he'll invite you instead - his name is Kazuhiro Williams, and I told him to tell you that 'Enkidoh sent him to invite you'. :)

@HolyAngel: welcome! I'm sure there's plenty of people on your server who would be happy to make friends with you - the Ultros section of the World forums is a good place to start looking as there are always people inviting new members to join their linkshells/Free Companies.
