6 months... It's time to open legacy worlds to transfer out of

In an interview before arr launched yoshi said that they would most likely open all worlds to transfer after about six months. If I recall the game has been out for six months counting February. Can we get an update on these server transfers? I know the economy is rough in the game but that is on all servers. Plus, I have friends on non legacy servers that have mulitple lvl 50 characters. And over a million Gil. I Don't see why the legacy worlds have not opened to transfer

On a side note I have created a new char on my friends server but I have put to much time in my legacy char to just let him go.

Please update us/me on when legacy players can transfer!

YES FREAKING YES. let me get off a legacy server.

They said they would review the economies of all worlds at the six month mark and reevaluate at that time. I wouldn't get your hopes up, sadly.

It depends on the gil, the economy, not a set time frame.

SE doesn't look at single poor people on Legacy server, they just look at the top 5% who a mass gil.

It showed who had gil and who didn't when housing came, people were doing merc and stuff to save gil,

I started with 2.5M(used to be 25M in 1.0), and i wasted close to 1M on Vanya robe, which is now a total waste, currently after bringing few crafts to 50, i'm left with 750k.

Yet, im subjected to the top 5% with 300M+ gil.

if you wanna know who has gil, look up Minions and other none important stuff people buy on MB. People spend 300k, even 500k for a minion. Those are the rich bastrds!

Not until the housing prices are the same on all worlds. That is part of the way they are trying to normalize the economies between worlds. So most likely they will be reconsidering end of month, and monitoring through 2.2. If things look good, 2.2 is probably earliest this would likely happen. All speculation of course, but based on things said in the last live letter and prior it seems likely.

It would be nice as a legacy player to at least get an update on when they are thinking about this transfer or if this is even going to happen. Due to the server issues at launch many legacy players can't play with there friends unless making a new char. I can't speak for everyone but I was part of the 1.0 beta tests and bought the collectors addition and put in A LOT of time on my main char and I don't feel it is appropriate that legacy players that have Been loyal get the shaft.
Square ENIX please allow the transfers. I don't see any negative outcomes of legacy moving to non legacy. I think it might even help the other servers economy.

Out of curiosity, why do you want out from a legacy server so bad? to play with friends?

it affects non legacy people on those servers too from what i'm aware

i have a friend on balmung, he isn't legacy and wants to transfer, but i don't think he can.

To play with my friends is a large part of it but also I craft low lvl gear at times when I scrounge up the mats but they never sell on ah because almost everyone on legacy has lvl 50 all jobs. I think I could sell my crafted stuff a little better on non legacy. The last thing is people on a legacy server seem to never want to help other people unless it is something they are doing. Ie there to busy unless its coil or ct.
I would really just like to transfer or have the option to since I've been a paying customer for over 9 years now going back to ff11

If legacy players starts to flood my server then i will quit immediately. I choose a new server for a reason and i believe many others did the same.

You are no want for have skilled player to boost gameplay and gil to boost economy? Why you are want for quit game when improvement occur?

Many on legacy are no choose for be there. Legacy are prison of worst kind, kind of can never leave.

Yes I wish they will open this as well at least maybe to people who meet some requirements players who are NOT legacy but either created or moved to a legacy server and maybe if gil is the issue dont let them transfer with over a certain ammount of gil I transfered from non legacy to legacy and i highly regret it sometimes. It has such a different feel and the players are different there is good and bad but I am now stuck with legacy @_@ bleh /end rant

I can see that becoming an option once all worlds have the same housing prices. Until then, you're going to have to wait.

SE needs to do this NOW.

The reson I want off my server is because of their own cockup.

But I have a feeling another year down the road then they will allow it they will make us pay for it or have some god awaful and stupid restrictions.

All Legacy characters should be given a one time, free server transfer. Forcing people that have backed SE since the beginning to stay on the servers with the worst economy, due to their own mess up, is punishment at this point.

I would like an update on this as well SE!

if needed, there can be an exchange rate, that adapts a player's total Gil to the situation on the server he wants to change to.

Server transfer is pointless for anyone on a legacy world anyway since you can't take your gil with you. Not even to another legacy world, which is ridiculous. I'd rather quit than lose my gil so that's what it may come to some day as the amount of EU players on Excalibur gets lower each week.

Legacies would lose all their money? I guess it could be worth it if you are casual on a legacy.

Roll your gil into materials, take it with you that way? Blue fox hide was selling for 95k on Leviathan when I checked last night.

It's also worth keeping in mind that your gil goes further on the non-Legacy servers because everything costs less there.
