Warning : If you have the same CT's loot in Retainer, don't need/greed it again :x

Yea, I'm a dumb. Totally forgot that we can have "unique item" in inventory and Retainers and for some reason, I hit greed on Tank's hands. Now, I got 2 sets and CT loot locked out for this week. ;)

Never think this bug (or working as intended ?) having negative effect until yesterday.

Seriously though, there are instances where being able to hold multiple of a "unique" item via retainers is helpful (treasure maps comes to mind), and as a result of that it is unlikely that this will be "fixed" because there'd be some people that would complain about it if it was. Either keep CT gear on you, or keep a checklist :<

In FFXI you could have only 1 Rare/ex item wherever it was stored, it was clever. They made the Rare/ex item which translate into "Unic/Personal" nowaday, and the EX items, which could be stacked, I don't know why they don't do it here..

I mean, I can really see a treasure Map being EX without problem.

This was true with the safe/locker/etc. but not true with moogle storage slips or the AH/delivery box. Stuff on the slips/AH/dbox was considered to be not in your inventory.

I have full sets of items on my retainer and when I run dungeons if I could only have 1 regardless of where it's at then I wouldn't be able to get a second item that I could vendor off for GC Seals.

Good example is the Toxotes set for BRD. I have a complete of it on my retainer, all armor and accessories. I always lot Greed in dungeons for all items, and then any thing I do not wish to keep I vendor for Seals. If I couldn't hold a second item in my personnel inventory then I would be SOL on any chance of getting those items to trade in.

Well, we're not talking about AH slots or moogle storage slips, are we? :) Just common storage which I forgot the names now lol

This is something that should be fixed. There is zero purpose to have multiples of these. Maybe someone else could have actually used that item instead of someone getting a second of an item when they can never use more then one.

You do know you can turn in any Green or Pink item into your Grand Company for Seals. Most Greens and Blues are Unique/Untradable.
Since I have a full set of Toxotes and Peltast for BRD and MNK until I can get them Darklight, having multiples is very beneficial because I can turn in those extras for Seals (since I'm working on getting the minions for all 3 Companies).

There's nothing to be fixed. If you're concerned about loot lock out from CT then you need to keep track of what CT items you have and need a lot better.

I constantly turn in dungeons stuff for seals, its the only reason I get them. I still think it is circumventing the system. If someone out rolls someone for some allagan gear that they already have in a retainer over someone who could actually use it, it is a problem.

You're never going to have a perfect system in any game, just like you're never going to please everyone 100%.
If I was prevented from getting a duplicate of something then I'm limited on what I can turn in.
The only compromise would be to just give you a warning that you already have a duplicate but not to prevent you from rolling on it or only give you the option to Greed and remove the Need option if a duplicate exists somewhere in your inventory/retainers.
