How does it feel to be a hypocrite?
I find that when people state as such on the forums, it means that they want challenge for other players, and not necessarily themselves. These same people are also as like to not do the content until a Youtube video/strat is established.
Ah, yes, lets make bad generalizations.
"It's not a challenge for me, super awesome man. I just don't want to carry some freshly dinged 50 scrub noob baddie!!!!"
Did I do it right? Please tell me, you seem so good at it.
OT: Don't do DF with random people and you won't have to worry about people leaving the group.
You cross reference their posts when you see them in game? How exactly can you tell they are the same people?
People don't bail out of challenging dungeons, they bail out of challenging parties. There are no challenging dungeons, just people who make them so.
I think this falls in line with people getting Pharos Sirius on roulette and bailing before the first pull
People bail on "Challenging dungeons" because, and I'm not sorry to say, many would fail this basic test:

Now - Is the dungeon itself challenging? No. Do the players you end up paired with make it challenging? Yes. Tam Tara is also very challenging using this logic.
This. Ive heard Hakkue HM is the same and have had a few people bail on Copperbell HM when it seems they have gotten it on roulette. I dont think people are talking about normal Duty Finder anymore. This complaint can easily be seen with roulettes where a player gets plopped with a random party in a random challenge dungeon. Granted I don't remember doing Hakkue HM or Pharos so I am not too certain on its difficulty, but people bailing before the first pull is never okay since you dont even know how the group is gonna turn out.
Farming is not challenging.
My only pet peeve is when you DR say, Titan EM, one attempt in (that hits heart) and people leave.
You don't want to play with me? You just hate a challenge: The most cliche, terrible baddie excuse to have ever been used.
That said many enjoy the challenge of a carry and earn a few Gil on the side ;)
I think you are mixing up 2 crowds
There are just so many bad players in this game that when something requires some sort of coordination or check they fall flat on their face several hundred times before a "!" appears above their heads
I want the game to be more challenging but at the rate the game is going the Devs will introduce a win button for baddies (Press for insta rewards)
Lol, I had a paladin in basically full myth this morning bail on Copperbell (Hard). Me on SCH ilvl80 and BRD and BLM in mix Myth, Allagan and CT gear, said was to hard and would not do it. Made us wait 5 min to kick him. In which me, BRD and BLM killed all the trash up to were you have the 2 gigas and bogy. About 2 sec later get a tank and proceed to destroy it. The only dungeon I have issue with is Sirus and I believe is because I have not ran it enough. Either people bail at start or party can't get act together to kill the first or second boss. And I like how in last producer letter they believe the dungeon was too hard for the gear it dropped.
I actually prefer seeing Pharos Sirius come up in Duty Roulette. (and I always queue as a Tank).
I've had many great runs in that dungeon - even with ppl who have never done it before. It's actually one of the fastest dungeons if players know what they're doing - *Though I wish the chest rewards were more substantial.*
So don't generalize too much OP. Many of us prefer the challenge, and have the patience to guide people through it.
The forums are not a hivemind or even a group of like-minded people. Whoever is currently unhappy about something is who you're going to see the most threads from on a given day.
