Long queue times... it happened!

Yesterday a queue pop only after 1 hour 22 on a tank solo queue (at around 15.00CET on monday).

They really need to put BRD in the "meelee" position, as currently, there are so little meelee around that queues get completely borked...

Are more seeing this or only the Chaos data center?

i have not experienced this. Maybe come to to Aether?? :)

I have noticed increased queue times (as a caster) since the melee/ranged dps split, but not by too much. I'm not sure if that's because of decreased interest in PvP or because of there being too many ranged and not enough melee, as you described. Oddly enough, my queue times shorten during late night... possibly because there are just less people to choose from in general. It's usually the same people I queue into games with over and over again at that point.

I would like to but, im not a legacy player, but play on a legacy server, is it possible then??

yea also not sure what is up... day time or early morning at least for sure is hell :)))

Does legacy matter? I don't think it does... but what do I know.. I'm also a tank so I dont see the ranged dps q times. Can always q up with a healer to make it quicker.

No one plays pvp in our server because of people doing pre mades of 3 players ruining the fun for everyone and making pvp unappealing to the new players. For the past week 90% of my que pops were from lv40-30, and you pretty mutch find the same people all the time. They really need to make a solo que option. Or another bracket for lv50 where pvp gear wont matter just like it doesn't in the lv40-30 ones.

You're not really making a choice by buying cloth armor, and another 8250 for a second weapon should be a drop in the bucket by then. Might as well play both.

OT: They need to consolidate PvP matching to all servers at this point. It was fine on release when you had 1 minute queues all day, but with so little queueing now, I expect anywhere between 5 minute queues and 45 minute queues, depending on the time of day.

Of course queues are dead, considering queuing with 2 3 or 4 is a waste if you're serious about getting xp or marks. A huge number of people I know don't PvP anymore because you can't make progress and play with friends effectively, and even though solo queue is much faster than anything else it is horrible.

Shouldnt have to reroll to get matches in pvp.

I prefer to be self sufficient and be able to play all roles =P. But it's take some time before I start gathering Healer Gear. And I beat a 4 Dire enemy team with 2+1(Me) on my side wearing that fluffy looking coat. The enemy was like it is too good to be true and keep attacking me while I had Fist of Earth on =3. I died 2 times but manage to score a kill on the healer =D. Did 8.5k DMG in a 3 minutes fight, sad thing is the opponent MRD did 8.2k DMG =P.

Comp was MRD DRG SMN SCH vs MRD MNK BLM SCH

I prefer to excel in one class than hop to whatever is convenient. To each their own - either way, I shouldn't be getting punished for it.

You can wait 2.2 and after that pvp is active probably 2 week until it will die again.. Hopefully we get some improvement soon our pvp system that make more ppl interest into it.

WoW those are some insane queue times, primal during eastern peak hours is under 5 minutes.

Anyone else feel like pvping is dying now? Last week my queues were instant and this week all my queues are 5+ minutes.

Is 5+ minutes considered bad now?

Must be a ranged dps thing, I usually get queues in under 5 mins solo queueing.

considering a match takes like 1-3m, i think it's always been considered a bad thing.

5+ is a good time here. 15-20+ is when it's bad.

want to fix the que times, here is a simple remedy, SE just take the time to balance the classes more and innovate your system.. take the restrictions of class comps out, don't be lazy.. i have np with 1 melee and 1 range but that destroys pvp to the finest..
doesn't matter anyhow r30 premade stack comps doing non-light party to boost morale lol.

It is funny when at first ppl blamed about that you forced 2 play with tank and now melee and range dps is issue. I test yesterday how long queue times are with dragoon and it was much longer than healer queue. Melee and range is not current problem with ques.. The problem is we mostly lack healers instead. Or we lack players in general cause pvp community is so small. Maybe easiest solution getting fast ques is if all classes can join 2gether and fight without any role.

got to R30 my self like last week. Now I'm focusing on my studies since midterms are nearing by. Maybe it could be one of the reason? (assuming some pvpers are in college/uni as well.)
